Abstract

Selon l'invention, un convertisseur de secteur pour un système bioélectrochimique comprend des premiers convertisseurs (102-104) comprenant chacun une borne à courant continu (105) pour fournir un courant électrique par l'intermédiaire d'électrodes du système bioélectrochimique, et un second convertisseur (106) pour fournir de l'énergie aux premiers convertisseurs à partir d'un réseau d'alimentation électrique externe. Chaque premier convertisseur comprend un élément électrique (107) pour recevoir de l'énergie provenant du second convertisseur et un ensemble de circuits (108) pour convertir une tension de l'élément électrique en une tension d'électrolyse appropriée pour le système bioélectrochimique. L'élément électrique peut être un enroulement secondaire d'un transformateur ou d'un stockage d'énergie à tension continue. Chaque premier convertisseur est isolé galvaniquement des autres premiers convertisseurs au moins lorsque le premier convertisseur mentionné fournit de l'énergie au système bioélectrochimique. Ainsi, chaque premier convertisseur commande son propre appariement d'électrodes sans perturber les autres premiers convertisseurs.
