Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil pour dégrader la fraction organique d'eaux usées au moyen d'une biomasse active, en particulier des particules de boue active, comprenant : - au moins un réservoir (1) conçu pour contenir les eaux usées et ladite biomasse active; - au moins une structure creuse (6, 106, 206), conçue pour être au moins partiellement immergée dans les eaux usées, pourvue d'au moins une première ouverture (61) pour laisser entrer les eaux usées et d'au moins une seconde ouverture (62) pour laisser sortir les eaux usées, le rapport entre l'aire de ladite au moins une première ouverture (61) et l'aire de ladite au moins une seconde ouverture (62) étant égal à au moins 5:1; - des moyens de distribution d'air (7, 70) conçu pour introduire de l'air à l'intérieur de ladite au moins une structure (6, 106, 206); ladite au moins une première ouverture (61) étant proximale auxdits moyens de distribution d'air (7, 70) et ladite au moins une seconde ouverture (62) étant distale desdits moyens de distribution d'air (7, 70), de sorte que les moyens de distribution d'air (7, 70) sont conçus pour générer un écoulement d'eaux usées depuis ladite au moins une première ouverture (61) jusqu'à ladite au moins une seconde ouverture (62).
