Abstract

L'invention concerne un brûleur qui comporte un joint enveloppant et qui est utilisé pour créer une cavité de combustion à une température suffisante dans du sable de réservoir. Le brûleur crée et soutient des gaz de combustion chauds dans un état de régime permanent pour qu'ils s'écoulent et passent à travers une zone cible. Le joint enveloppant isole la cavité de combustion du puits de forage tubé et forme un anneau enveloppant étanche entre le puits de forage tubé et le brûleur. De l'eau est injectée dans la zone cible, au-dessus de la cavité de combustion, à travers l'anneau enveloppant étanche. L'eau injectée pénètre latéralement dans et refroidit le réservoir à proximité du puits de forage, et le puits de forage contre la chaleur des gaz de combustion chauds. Les gaz de combustion chauds et l'eau dans le réservoir interagissent pour former un front d'entraînement dans un réservoir d'hydrocarbures.
