Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing of multilayer composite materials comprising low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and a glass-fiber reinforcement used for manufacturing roadside barriers, equipment to realize the method and a multilayer composite material produced by the method. Using a first pair of rolls 1, an inner LDPE sheet 2 is fed with a uniform linear speed of transporting from the top, the inner LDPE sheet 2 being uniformly heated from the both sides till its melting temperature using a hot air stream from an air generator 3. Using a second pair of rolls 4, a glass-fiber fabric 5 and an outer LDPE sheet 6 are fed to one side of the inner LDPE sheet 2, and woven glass-fiber braids 7 and the outer LDPE sheet 6 are fed to the other side of the inner LDPE sheet 2. The woven glass fiber braids 7 are fed at a distance of 8 to 20 mm from one another, each braid having 10 to 20 woven glass fibers. Using a third pair of rolls 8, all sheets are pressed together to ensure their mutual adhesion. Upon melting, the inner LDPE sheet 2 penetrates the glass fiber fabric 5 and the woven glass fibers 7 and seals the outer LDPE sheets 6.
