The invention relates to hygiene and cosmetology notably to skin antiseptic treatment agents.Composition contains essential oils of the following plants: thyme (Thymus serpyllum L.), marjoram (Origanum vulgare L.), peppermint (Mentha piperita L.), lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.), tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), dissolved in ethanol and further dissolved in distilled water in a certain sequence, achieving concentration of ethanol not more than 0.5% and essential oils – not more than 0.0005%.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to hygiene and cosmetology, namely to antiseptic preparations for the skin by performing various cosmetic and hygienic procedures as well as to the preparation of various cosmetic products.

Many skin care cosmetics with antiseptic properties are known. Typically, the compositions of these products contain antiseptics of various chemical origins and are alcohol-based. Such cosmetics, although having anti-inflammatory properties, adversely affect the skin by irritating and drying it. Various products are known to contain plant components as active substances. Closest to the present invention is an antiseptic composition (EP 1933805) consisting of olive leaf extract, Sigesbeckia Orientalis, cesarea (Caesalpinia sappan), dandelion (Tanacetum parthenium), a combination of two or more of these components, contains at least one lipoamino acid and one metal salt.

These herbs have certain antiseptic properties, but are difficult to obtain and expensive to obtain, but the preparation of a cosmetic is difficult. In addition, the plant components play an auxiliary role, but the inclusion of metal salt in the composition and the use of exotic plants can cause an allergic reaction.

The present invention solves the task of providing an antiseptic composition for topical application using biologically active components of known plants without the use of chemical antiseptics, alcohols and preservatives.

To solve this problem, a composition is proposed in which the essential oils of marjoram, oregano, peppermint, lavender, tea tree are dissolved successively in ethyl alcohol and then dissolved in distilled water without addition of preservatives, reaching a concentration of not more than 0.5% oils - not more than 0,0005%.

The proposed composition contains well-known plant essential oils: Marsilla (Thymus serpyllum L.), oregano (Oriģanum vulgare L.), peppermint (Mentha piperita L.), lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.), Tea tree (Melaleuca altemifolia), taken in prescribed relationship.

Marsilla essential oil (Thymus serpyllum L.) contains thymol and carvacrol, which due to its bactericidal activity against pathogenic fungi, is a powerful antiseptic and a natural preservative.

Celandine essential oil (Origanum vulgare L.) contains thymol, carvacrol, geranyl acetate. All of these substances have antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory properties. Antibacterial and antiviral effects provide an anti-inflammatory action, healing the mucous membrane, promoting rapid tissue regeneration.

Peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita L.) contains menthol, which has antiseptic and anti-irritant properties. Reduces skin reaction to irritation or irritants, enhances skin protective functions, evens out skin color, neutralizes toxic stagnation, so application may be beneficial in case of dermatitis, shingles, scabies and itchy skin. Narrowing the capillaries provides a refreshing effect. Removes pain and reduces inflammation in case of sunburn. Softens the skin, helps to remove acne, improves the condition of oily skin and oily hair.

Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) Contains linalool, caryophyllene, geraniol, lavenderol, bomeol. Lavender essential oil is one of the best remedies for skin diseases of various etiologies, incl. nervous genesis. In addition, lavender essential oil is a good painkiller, has strong antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, kills many bacteria, especially streptococci and golden staphylococcus, as well as many viruses.

Tea tree essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) contains teipeniol, pinene, terpinene substances, which provide protection against bacteria, viruses, molds, have antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. After antiseptic activity, this oil is 100 times stronger than carbolic acid and harmless to humans. Tea tree essential oil is successfully used in the treatment of gum inflammation, in the treatment of scars and acne, in the eradication of foot and nail fungi, and in the case of herpes.

Each plant has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties in very small amounts, but their combination in the composition enhances the effect of antiseptic and antibacterial action.

The proposed antiseptic is prepared as follows: For the preparation of the composition, the essential oils of each plant are first dissolved separately in 96% ethyl alcohol solution, then in 30% ethyl alcohol solution. The individually obtained solutions of the essential oils of the said plants are combined in one volume in a certain volume, and then distilled water is added, gradually reducing the alcoholic strength up to 0.5% and the composition of the essential oils less than 0.0005%. Water has strong antimicrobial properties. In addition, very low concentrations of ethyl alcohol in the aqueous solution do not cause skin irritation. The reconstituted product is a colorless, clear solution. This solution can be combined with both alcoholic and oily solutions used in cosmetology.

Several variants of the quantitative ratio of the proposed plant extracts were prepared to detect the level of antimicrobial efficacy of the claimed product.

Microbiological analyzes of all samples of the antiseptic agents proposed meet the 5 most stringent criteria of pharmaceutical formulations, but the results of the first variant are the best.

According to the present invention, compositions which exhibit high anti-inflammatory properties can be used in a variety of personal care products and as an antimicrobial component in cosmetic products such as face cleansers, creams, balms, lotions, body detergents, cosmetic pencils, sprays, and make-up. In addition, the product of the present invention is useful for preventing inflammation, reducing redness on the skin caused by any cause, such as mechanical damage to the skin surface, in particular by depilation. The proposed antiseptic can be used in products to reduce the appearance of "diaper dermatitis". It can also be used in oral care products and in prophylaxis for periodontal disease. The use of this composition to remove inflammation and irritation of the skin surface of animals is of interest because the product contains small amounts of alcohol and does not cause burning when treated.

When in contact with the skin surface, cosmetic products containing an antiseptic composition inhibit the development of microorganisms that can cause the development of various undesirable processes.

Applying antiseptic compositions to the damaged skin surface accelerates the healing of microtrains and reduces inflammatory processes. The preparation, which consists of a mixture of antiseptic and vegetable oils softens and moisturizes the skin, at the same time prevents irritation and redness of the skin surface.

The invention is confirmed by the following examples of practical application. All procedures were performed voluntarily on patients.

Example 1. Patient A. Age 43 years. Cosmetic depilation procedure. The depilatory preparation process requires an antiseptic solution. Conventional antiseptic solutions contain alcohol, which narrows the pores of the skin. This interferes with good hair removal and irritates the skin. For comparison, before and after depilation, the patient was applied on one leg a normal alcohol-containing solution and on the other leg the proposed antiseptic composition of biologically active plant-based marjoram, oregano, peppermint, lavender and tea tree components. The application of the proposed composition does not irritate the skin, the pores do not narrow, which results in a better depilation. After the procedure the skin regenerated quickly and without redness. The skin remained pink and irritated for several hours after applying the alcoholic antiseptic.

Example 2: Patient B. Age 40 years. Massage cosmetic procedure with seated vegetable oil. The skin surface was treated with the proposed antiseptic composition in a spray, followed by a massage and a massage. The skin is "open" and absorbs the nourishing components of the massage, leaving it immune to the action of pathogenic microorganisms.

Example 3: Patient C. Age 32 years. Facial skin is prone to dryness, redness and inflammation, especially after shaving. After shaving, the offered antiseptic solution was sprayed regularly. As a result, the skin did not peel from dryness, remaining light, smooth, healthy.

Example 4. Patient D. Age 47 years. A mixture of antiseptic composition with almond vegetable oil was used. The mixture consisted of two layers of liquid. After shaking and applying to the skin by spray, the skin was moistened and softened, and irritation was prevented, especially after exposure to the sun.

Example 5. Patient E. Age 65 years. For oral care, especially after wearing dentures, the use of an antiseptic composition facilitates and improves the condition of the mucous membrane and gums.

Example 6. Patient F. Age 32 years. Used an antiseptic composition for intimate hygiene. No discomfort was caused, although burning and irritation were caused by the use of conventional antiseptics.

Example 7. Patient G. Age 80 years. After severe surgery, the body became immobile and was at risk of developing and spreading back problems. At the sites of the bedsores, the skin surface was treated. Skin irritation decreased, pain relieved, lesion site decreased.

The advantage of using the proposed antiseptic composition is that all the plants from which the essential oils are derived are known, many have used them and their antiseptic properties are unquestionable. But the composition they contain contains them in very low concentrations and nevertheless its antiseptic activity is very significant.
