Abstract

In a laminate (7) with a diffraction structure (8), which is adhesively affixed to a substrate (9) by means of an adhesive layer (6) by applying heat, in order to increase the falsification security of, for example, a document, a transparent stabilisation layer (1) distributes the heat evenly in the laminate (7) during affixing until the adhesive layer (6) softens. After cooling, the adhesive layer (6) forms a firm bond with the substrate (9). The stabilisation layer (1) is bonded by means of an intermediate layer (2) to a first lacquer layer (3) having the diffraction structures (8) impressed in it. A second lacquer layer (5) covers the diffraction structures (8) and serves as base for the adhesive layer (6). The laminate (7) can be used to punch or cut tags which have a striking, optically variable composition from the diffraction structures (8). <IMAGE>
