Abstract

Invention applies to the medicine and pharmaceutical industry. The invention aims to increase the efficiency of treatment. The herb mixture consists of the following components in g: alder fruits (Fructus Alni) - 50, oak-tree core (Cortex Quercus) - 40, chamomile flowers (Flores Chamomillae) - 30, tormentil root-stock (Rhizoma Tormentillae) - 20, Lady's Mantle (Herba Alchemillae) - 20. Components of the herb mixture are separately pulverised by a hammer crusher and the fine particles sifted. Components are mixed in a drum mixer until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Consumption of the proposed herb mixture stops the looseness of the bowels and improves the state of health.

The invention relates to the medical and pharmaceutical industry, namely to herbal blends for diarrhea.

A well-known herbal infusion of St. John's wort (Herb Absinthi) is used to stop diarrhea. (See V.Kauniene, EoKaunas. Herbs: A Handbook.-Karpas,

1991).

Known infusions of blueberry leaves (Folia Vaccinii myrtilli) and ripe berries (Fructus Vaccinii myrtilli) against diarrhea. (See V _o Kaunienė, E. Kaunas. Medicinal Plants: A Handbook.-K .: Varpas, 1991).

A well-known herbal infusion does not effectively prevent diarrhea. In addition, the use of plant berries is not advisable for infectious diarrhea.

The object of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

The use of a herbal blend containing less than the specified amount of alder fruit, oak bark, has a longer treatment time and requires additional treatment with the chemical composition of Imodium. Increasing the amount of alder fruit, oak bark in the mixture changes the flavor of the mixture, and when used. Example I for obtaining a herbal mixture for diarrhea.

Examples 2-5. In analogy to Example I, herbal mixtures for diarrhea were obtained, the composition of which is given in the table.

Indices of quality of the resulting herbal mixture for diarrhea: moisture <14%, total ash content <7%, fine particles passing through 5 mm sieve, fine particles passing through 0.2 mm sieve, 4 · 8 %.

From the blend of herbs for diarrhea prepared an infusion for the treatment of diarrhea. The filling is bitter, slightly pungent and strongly astringent.

Clinical trials were conducted in groups of ten and seven patients.
