Abstract

본 발명은 피디피(PDP) 티브이의 영상확장 장치에 관한 것으로, 마우스를 통해 영역선택을 위한 클릭신호가 입력되면 마이컴으로부터의 제어신호에 의거하여 영상확장부가 인에이블된 다음, 마이컴으로부터의 인출을 위한 어드레스에 의거하여 제1프레임 메모리에 저장되어 있는 프레임 영상데이타 중에 선택영역의 영상데이타가 인출되어 영상확장부로 제공되고, 영상확장부를 통해 선택영역의 영상데이타가 영상보간 기법을 통한 확장에 의해 프레임 영상데이타로 확장된 다음 제2프레임 메모리에 저장되며, 마이컴으로부터의 인출을 위한 어드레스에 의거하여 제2프레임 메모리에 저장되어 있는 확장된 프레임 영상데이타가 디스플레이부로 제공된 다음, 디스플레이부를 통해 디스플레이 가능한 영상데이타로 신호처리되어 PDP 티브이로 디스플레이되므로써, 소망하는 영역의 영상데이타가 프레임 영상데이타로 확장되어 PDP 티브이로 디스플레이되므로, 시청자의 이용편익을 더욱 도모할 수 있도록 한 것이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 제1프레임 메모리(110)에 저장된 프레임 영상데이타를 디스플레이수단(150)을 통해 디스플레이 가능한 신호로 신호처리한 다음 PDP 티브이로 디스플레이하는 장치에 있어서, 외부로부터의 조작신호에 의거하여 소망하는 영역의 영상데이타를 선택하기 위한 선택신호를 발생하는 선택수단(115); 상기 선택수단(115)으로부터의 선택신호에 의거하여 영상확장수단(130)을 인에이블시키고, 상기 제1프레임 메모리(110)에 저장된 프레임 영상데이타 중에 상기 선택된 영역의 영상데이타를 인출하기 위한 어드레스와 확장된 프레임 영상데이타를 인출하기 위한 어드레스를 제공하는 마이컴(120); 상기 마이컴(120)으로부터의 제어신호에 의거하여 인에이블되어 상기 제1프레임 메모리(110)로부터 인출되어 제공되는 선택영역의 영상데이타를 영상보간 기법을 통한 확장자에 의거하여 프레임 영상데이타로 확장하기 위한 상기 영상확장수단(130); 상기 영상확장수단(130)을 통ㄹ해 확장된 프레임 영상데이타를 저장한 다음, 상기 마이컴(120)으로부터의 인출을 위한 어드레스신호에 의거하여 인출한 다음 상기 디스플레이 수단(150)으로 제공하는 제2프레임 메모리(140)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 피디피(PDP) 티브이의 영상확장 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 선택수단은, 마우스인 것을 특징으로 하는 피디피(PDP) 티브이의 영상확장 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 선택영역은, 상기 마우스에 의해 클릭되는 시작점과 상기 마우스에 의해 클릭되는 끝점으로 이루어지는 블록인 것을 특징으로 하는 피디피(PDP) 티브이의 영상확장 장치.
