Abstract

씨디-롬 드라이브의 스핀들 모터 속도 제어 방법이 개시된다.
본 발명은 홀 센서의 펄스 주기 측정에 의한 스핀들 모터의 RPM을 측정하는 단계; 상기 측정된 RPM과 소정의 목표 RPM과의 편차를 구하는 단계; 및 상기 구해진 RPM 편차를 바탕으로 스핀들 모터의 회전 속도를 가변하는 단계;를 포함한다. 더 나아가 스핀들 모터의 회전 속도 가변에 있어서, 회전 속도 감속 시 디스크의 미끄러짐이 발생할 경우, 브레이크 명령을 중지하고, 중립 혹은 약한 가속의 명령을 내리는 단계를 포함한다.
이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 스핀들 모터의 RPM을 직접 측정하여 모터의 속도 제어에 활용하므로 목표 RPM과 실제 제어 RPM 간의 편차를 대폭 줄일 수 있고, 그에 따라 드라이브의 액세스 시간을 한층 단축시킬수 있다

Claims (2)

  1. 홀 센서의 펄스 주기 측정에 의한 스핀들 모터의 RPM을 측정하는 단계; 상기 측정된 RPM과 소정의 목표 RPM과의 편차를 구하는 단계; 상기 구해진 RPM과의 편차를 바탕으로 스핀들 모터의 회전 속도를 가변하는 단계; 를 포함하여 된 것을 특징으로 하는 씨디-롬 드라이브에서의 스핀들 모터 속도 제어방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스핀들 모터의 회전 속도 가변에 있어서, 회전 속도 감속 시 디스크의 미끄러짐이 발생할 경우, 브레이크 명령을 중지하고, 중립 혹은 약한 가속의 명령을 내리는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징을 하는 씨디-롬 드라이브에서의 스핀들 모터 속도 제어방법.
