본 발명은 위성방송에서와 같이 전자 프로그램 안내(EPG) 정보를 제공하는 방송시스템에서 문자정보와 화면의 디스플레이 기술에 관한 것으로, 종래의 전자 프로그램 안내용 디코더에 있어서는 보다 많은 정보를 제공하기 위하여 전자프로그램 안내를 하는 동안 문자정보만을 탐색할 수 있을뿐 선택한 프로그램의 영상을 전혀 감상할 수 없게 되어 있는 결함이 있었는 바,본 발명은 이를 해결하기 위하여,상기 영상크기 정보를 근거로 동영상의 축소화면 크기정보를 연산하여 그에 따른 샘플율 제어신호를 출력포맷 제어부(405)측으로 출력하고,멀티플렉서(409)측으로 축소된 영상의 위치정보를 출력하는 출력포맷 제어부(405)와, 상기 샘플 제어 신호에 따라 비디오 디코더(404)에서 출력되는 동영상신호의 샘플율을 변화시켜 지정된 크기의 축소화면용 영상신호를 생성해서 이를 디스플레이 이미지버퍼(407)에 저장하는 샘플율 변환기(406)와, 상기 출력포맷제어부(405)에서 출력되는 축소된 영상이 위치정보를 이용하여 상기 디스플레이 이미지버퍼(407)에 저장된 영상신호와 온스크린신호 발생기(408)에서 출력되는 전자프로그램 안내용 영상신호를 합성하는 멀티플렉서(409)를 포함시켜 전자프로그램 안내요 디코더를 구현하였다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
