본 발명은 금속제파이프간의 용접방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 종래의 금속제파이프의 용접시에는 극성을 달리하는 금속제파이프를 서로 접금시켜서 방전을 발생하도록하여 압접시켜서 용접부위에 비드(Bead)를 생성시키지 않고 결합은 시켰으나 결합시키고자 하는 파이프모재자체에 서로 다른 극성의 전류를 흐르게 하는 것 및 파이프모재를 고정시키기 위해 유압기계기구 및 이를 구성하기 위한 너무나 복잡한 기구를 이용해야 하므로 그 사용이 사실상 불가능 할 뿐만아니라 경제적으로 부적당한 단점이 있었다. 본 발명은 이러한 문제점을 근본적으로 제거하기 위해 창출된 것으로, 결합하고자 하는 파이프모재 내부에 용이하게 설치 및 제거가 가능한 용접지지장치를 제공하여 용접시 형성되는 용착금속을 보유시키도록 작용하여 용접시 산소와의 접촉을 차단하여 산화를 방지하고, 또한 용착금속이 파이프 모재의 내부로 흘러들지 않게하여 양호한 뒷면용접상태와 필요에 따라 백비드(Back Bead)가 형성될 수 있도록 하고, 티그(Tig)용접시에도 그 내부에 불황성기체로 치환할 필요없이 용접할 수 있도록 하기 위해 중앙에 길이방향으로 요홈을 형성시킨 정사다리꼴의 블록과 역사다리꼴블록을 교대로 경사진측면접촉하도록 설치하여 이들을 와이어로 연결한 용접뒷면지지블록군을 형성하고, 상기 백비드형성고리의 내면에는 다수의 단열밴드조작을 밴드상에 재봉한 단열밴드층을 공기의 주입과 배출이 가능한 발룬(balloon)을 설치하는 수단에 의해 금속제파이간을 효과적으로 용접하는데 그 특징이 있다.The present invention relates to a method for welding metal pipes and apparatus therefor.
