Abstract
FED 셀 구동장치는 간단한 회로구성에 의하여 다단계 계조를 계조(Gray Level)을 실현할 수 있고 제조공정을 간소화할 수 있다. 이를 위하여, FED 셀 구동장치는 다수의 캐소오드들을 전극판을 경유하여 기저전위에 접속되도록 하고 그리고 상기 캐소오드들의 상부에 위치하는 게이트전극을 적어도 2개 이상으로 분할한다. 그리고 상기 적어도 2개 이상으로 분할된 게이트전극들이 비디오신호의 크기에 따라 선별적으로 구동된다.

제1도는 본 발명의 실시에에 따른 전계 방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치의 회로도.
Claims (5)
- 전자를 방출하기 위한 다수의 캐소오드들이 설치되고 기저전위에 접속된 전극판과, 상기 캐소오드들의 상부에 설치되고 적어도 2개 이상의 분할된 게이트 전극과, 상기 2개 이상으로 분할된 게이트 전극에 공급될 전압을 각각 절환하기 위한 적어도 2개 이상의 절환수단과, 비디오신호의 크기에 따라 상기 적어도 2개 이상의절환수단을 상기 비디오신호의 크기에 해당하는 수만큼 구동하는 제어수단을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전계방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 2개 이상으로 분할된 게이트 전극들은 서로 다른 레벨의 전압을 공급받아 계조의 레벨을 2배로 실현하도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 전계 방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 캐소오드들에 흐르는 전류량을 제한하기 위하여 상기 전극판 및 기저전위의 사이에 접속된 저항을 추가로 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전계 방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단이 상기 비디오신호의 크기에 따라 점진적으로 1의 논리값이 증가하는 적어도 2비트 이상의 논리신호를 발생하는 인코오더를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전계 방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제어수단이, 상기 비디오신호를 적어도 2비트 이상의 디지탈 논리신호를 변환하는 아날로그-디지탈 변환기를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 전계 방출형 표시기의 셀 구동장치.
