Abstract
본 발명은 표시 장치 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는, 액정 패널, 게이트 PCB, 소스 PCB 및 TAB-IC를 구성하고 있는 표시 장치 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 액정 패널 위에 소스 및 게이트 신호 패턴 및 패드를 형성하고 패드에 대응하는 다수의 소스 및 게이트 TAB-IC를 부착하고 액정 패널을 구동하기 위한 신호 PCB 기판을 형성하고 액정 패널과 상기 PCB 기판을 연결한다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 액정 표시 장치는 TAB 솔더 패드를 패널 상부에 형성함으로써 리드 간에 쇼트 또는 패드 오픈을 방지하고 PCB를 줄임으로써 액정 패널의 활성 면적을 최대화하고 PCB 기판과 TAB-IC핸들링(handling)에 의한 손상을 줄일 수 있어 원가를 절감할 수 있고, 하나의 공정으로 TAB-IC의 입력단(TAB 솔더)과 출력단(OLB 본딩부)을 동시에 본딩함으로 공정의 단순화 및 공정 시간을 줄일 수 있고, 불량발생 시 재작업에서도 PCB부와 패널부로 구분되어 공정 수율을 높일 수 있는 효과가 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
