Abstract

본 발명은 한 쌍의 광 도파로(41, 42)를 구비하는 2×2광 스위치에 있어서, 상기 한 쌍의 광 도파로(41, 42)를 통하는 광에 광 위상 변화를 별도로 주는 광 위상 변조수단(48); 및 상기 광 위상 변조수단(48)의 입출력단 각각에 위치하여 상기 광 도파로 각각을 따라 통과하는 광간에 커플링을 유도하는 광 커플링수단(47, 49)을 구비하여, 상기 광 커플링수단에 의한 광 커플링 구간의 광 도파로는 서로 이격간격 없이 붙은 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 2×2광 스위치에 관한 것으로, 진행하는 광이 두 도파로가 간격이 없어 붙은 광 커플링부를 지나기 때문에 두 도파로 커필링 구간 사이에서 발생되는 오차를 서로 공급하여 공정 상에 발생하는 오차를 최소한으로 감소시킬 수 있으며, 또한, 두 도파로의 커플링을 DC형이나 BB형처럼 간접적으로 하지 않기 때문에 광 소자의 전체 길이를 줄일 수 있으며, 이에 따라 광 소자의 출력 감소를 최소화할 수 있도록 한 것이다.

Claims (1)

  1. 한 쌍의 광 도파로(41, 42)를 구비하는 2×2광 스위치에 있어서, 상기 한 쌍의 광 도파로(41, 42)를 통하는 광에 광 위상 변화를 별도로 주는 광 위상 변조수단(48); 및 상기 광 위상 변조수단(48)의 입출력단 각각에 위치하여 상기 광 도파로 각각을 따라 통과하는 광간에 커플링을 유도하는 광 커플링수단(47, 48)을 구비하며, 상기 광 커플링수단에 의한 광 커플링 구간의 광 도파로는 서로 이격간격 없이 붙은 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는 2×2광 스위치.
