Abstract

디지탈 페이징 스스템과 같은 선택적인 호출 시스템은 표준 프로토쿨로 가능한 것보다 싸른 메시지 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 메시지는 뱃치로 전송되며 각각의 뱃치는 그 뱃치내의 메시지 코드 워드용으로 이용된 비트레이트에 상관없이, 항상 동일한 비트 레이트로 전송되는 동기 코드 워드에 의해 프리픽스(prefix)된다. 동기코드 워드의 수신에 응답하여 선택적인 호출 수신기(P)는 그 연결된 메시지를 수신 및 디코드할 수 있도록 자체 조절할 수 있다. 더욱 신속한 메시지 서이스는 비트 레이트, 프레임 구조, 코드 워드 구조 및/ 또는 다수의 변조 레벨에 있어서, 다른 메시지 포맷을 제공할 수 있다.

Claims (10)

  1. 어드레스 신호 및/또는 메시지 신호로 구성된 뱃치의 형태로 디지탈 페이징 신호를 전송하는 수단을 갖춘 기지국과, 어드레스된 신호를 수신하는 수단을 갖춘 최소한 한개의 선택적인 호출 수신기를 구비하는 선택적인 호출 시스템에 있어서, 상기 기지국은 최소한 두가지 다른 유형의 메시지 신호를 생성하는 수단과 그 메시지 유형을 나타내는 동기 코드 워드를 이용하여 각 뱃치를 프리픽스(prefix)시키는 수단을 갖추며, 상기 동기 코드워드는 내용에 상관없이 모드 동기 코드 워드에 대해 동일한 비트 레이트를 가지며, 상기 선택적인 호출 수신기는 상기 동기 코드 워드의 수신에 응답하여 그 수신된 동기 코드 워드에 연결된 뱃치에 있는 수신기로 어드레스된 메시지 신호를 수신 및 디코드할 수 있드톡 그 선택적인 호출 수신기를 조절하는 수단을 갖추는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 동기 코드 워드에 연결된 뱃치내의 메시지 코드 워드의 비트 레이트는 상기 동기코드 워드의 비트 레이트보다 더 큰것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 최소한 두가지 형태의 메시지 신호중의 한 신호의 비트 레이트는 상기 동기코드 워드의 비트 레이트보다 최소한 2배인 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 메시지 신호의 비트 레이트가 크면 클수록, 1프레임에 대한 코드 워드의 갯수 및 1뱃치에 대한 프레임의 갯수가 많아지는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  5. 제3항 또는 4항에 있어서, 더 큰 비트 레이트의 메시지 코드 워드는 M-레벨로 변조되며, M은 최소한 2와 동일한 짝수인 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 숫자 메시지의 어드레스 코드 워드의 포맷은 문자메시지의 어드레스 코드 워드의 포맷과 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 제2유형의 문자 코드 워드는 비트 인터리브(interleave)되는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  8. 제1항 내지 7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 각각의 뱃치는 채널 표시기 코드 워드를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 시스템.
  9. 수신 수단, 상기 수신 수단에 결합된 디코딩단, 및 상기 디코딩단에 결합된 제어 수단을 구비한 선택적인 호출 수신기에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 최소한 두가지 유형의 메시지중의 하나를 나타내는 동기 코드 워드를 인식하는 수단 및, 상기 동기 코드 워드에 연결된 메시지 신호의 유형을 디코드할 수 있도록 최소한 상기 디코딩단을 조절하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 수신기.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 최소한 두개의 다른 주파수를 갖는 클럭 신호를 생성하는 클럭 수단을 포함하며, 각각의 동기 코드 워드의 발생시에 동일 주파수를 갖는 클럭 신호를 생성하도록 상기 클럭 수단을 야기시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 선택적인 호출 수신기.
