Abstract

전기 커넥터(10)는 전방 돌출 결합부(28)를 갖는 유전체 하우징을 포함한다. 복수의 단자(32)들은 평행하게 정렬한 접촉부(36)를 구비한 하우징상에 정착되고 상보형 커넥터의 접촉부(44,46)에 의해 맞물리도록 전방 돌출 결합부상에 노출된다. 전방 돌출 결합부(28)는 적어도 하나의 전방 단부를 지나 후방으로 연장하지만 적어도 하나의 접촉부가 각 접촉부(46)에 의해 다른 접촉부의 맞물림 후에 결합 커넥터의 접촉부 중 하나(44)에 의해 맞물릴 수 있도록 단자(32)의 모든 접촉부(36)를 포함하지 않는다.

제1도는 본 발명의 “퍼스트 메이크 래스트 브레이크(first make-last break)”시스템을 구체화한 전기 커넥터의 전방 사시도, 제2도는 상보형 커넥터(도시되지 않음)의 한 쌍의 접촉부와 관련하여 도시되고 제1도의 선 2-2를 따라 취한 일부 확대 수직 단면도.

Claims (8)

  1. 나란히 정렬 상태로 결합부의 선행 영역으로부터 후방으로 연장한 복수의 단자 수납 채널을 구비한 전방 돌출 결합부를 갖는 유전체 하우징과, 각각의 접촉부가 상기 채널 중 하나에 각각 끼워지는 상태로 하우징에 장착되며 상보형 커넥터의 접촉부에 의해 맞물리도록 전방 돌출 결합부상에 노출된 복수의 단자를 포함하는 전기 커넥터에 있어서, 상기 전방 돌출 결합부는, 단자의 접점부의 전부는 아니지만 적어도 하나의 선단상의 선행 영역으로부터 후방으로 돌출한 섹션을 포함하여, 적어도 하나의 접촉부는 다른 접촉부가 각 접점에 결합된 후에 결합 커넥터의 각 접점에 결합하도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 결합부의 상기 후방 연장 섹션은 적어도 하나의 접촉부의 전방 단부상에서 채널을 폐쇄하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 단자의 상기 접촉부는 하우징의 전방 돌출 결합부의 벽 외부로 노출된 편평 블레이드를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 단자의 상기 접촉부는 하우징의 전방 돌출 결합부의 안내 영역의 공동내에 배치되고, 결합부의 상기 후방 연장 섹션은 결합부의 팁 너머로 상기 적어도 하나의 접촉부의 전방 단부를 덮도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 하우징은 상기 전방 돌출 결합부가 연장한 플랜지를 포함하고, 상기 결합부는 결합부의 대향면상에 평행한 정렬된 단자 수납 채널을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 단자는 팁부, 상기 접촉부, 상기 하우징내에 상기 단자를 고정시키기 위한 보유부 및 회로 기판에 상기 단자를 상호 접속하기 위한 미부를 포함하고, 상기 팁부에서 상기 보유부까지의 상기 각 단자들은 거의 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 평행하게 정렬된 채널내의 상기 단자들은 거의 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 각 상기 단자들은 회로 기판상의 회로 트레이스에 납땜되는 표면 장착 미부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 커넥터.
