Abstract
본 발명은 횡단보도의 교통신호 제어 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 종래에는 주 제어기의 중첩 운용에 사용될 수 있는 여분의 출력이 제한적이어서 다수의 이격 횡단보도에 대해 중첩 운용이 필요함에도 불구하고 중첩 운용을 지원할 수 없고 또한, 중첩 운용을 위해 여러 가닥의 등기 선로를 통상 수백 미터 가설하여야 하는 불편과 도시 미관에 악영향을 초래하는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 본 발명은 독립 횡단보도에 분산 제어 모듈인 신호 제어기를 설치하고 주 제어기와의 통신을 통해 해당 횡단보도의 신호등을 제어하도록 창안한 것으로, 본 발명은 이격 횡단보도에 설치된 분산 제어기와 주 제어기간 제어 지령 및 제어결과를 교환하도록 공중 통신망을 적용하여 이격 횡단보도의 신호등을 제어함으로써 모든 이격 횡단보도에 신호등을 설치, 운용할 수 있고 또한, 독립 횡단보도에 설치되는 분산 제어기의 구성이 교통 신호 제어기에 비하여 극히 간단하고 제작 단가도 낮으므로 많은 이격 횡단보도에 신호등을 설치할 수 있다.The present invention relates to a traffic signal control method and apparatus for pedestrian crossings.
