Abstract

본 발명에 따른 현미경 탐침 팁의 제조방법은 화학적 증기증착법을 이용하여 실리콘 기판위의 산화 실리콘과 같은 기판위의 제1재료를 증착시키는 단계를 포함하고 있다. 제1재료는 적어도 하나의 돌기를 형성하도록 패턴이 만들어진다. 이러한 패턴형성중에, 제1재료의 배면이 식각된다. 그 다음, 산화 실리콘과 같은 제2재료가 전자 사이 클로트론 동조(ECR) 방법을 이용하여 돌기위에 증착된다. 이러한 ECR 방법은 현미경 탐침 팁을 형성하기 위해서 경사진 표면을 만든다. 본 발명의 다른 실시예에서, 서로 다른 2개의 분해 원자 현미경(AFM) 탐침 팁이 형성된다. 이때, 서로 다른 분해능을 갖는 2개의 탐침 팁을 구비한 AFM을 제공하기 위해서 칸틸레버들이 서로 결합된다.

Claims (5)

  1. 현미경 탐침 팁의 제조방법에 있어서, 기판위에 제1재료를 증착시키는 단계와, 제1돌기를 형성하기 위해서 상기 제1재료의 패턴을 만드는 단계와, 그리고 경사진 표면을 가진 제1현미경 탐침 팁을 형성하기 위해서 전자 사이클로트론 동조(ECR) 방법을 이용하여 상기 제1돌기위에 제2 재료를 증착시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제2재료위에 전도성 제3재료를 증착하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 제2기판위에 제3재료를 증착시키는 단계와, 제2돌기를 형성하기 위해서 상기 제3재료의 패턴을 만드는 단계와, 경사진 표면을 가진 제2현미경 탐침 팁을 형성하기 위해서 전자 사이클로트론 동조 (ECR) 방법을 이용하여 상기 제2돌기위에 제4재료를 증착시키는 단계와, 상기 제1현미경 탐침 팁을 제1칸틸레버상에 배치하는 단계와, 상기 제2현미경 탐침 팁을 제2칸틸레버상에 배치되는 단계와, 그리고 상기 제1칸틸레버와 상기 제2칸틸레버를 서로간에 결합하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1재료는 금속이고, 상기 제2재료는 전자 사이클로트론 동조(ECR) 방법을 사용하여 상기 제1돌기위에 증착된 제1산화층인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제1산화층위에 제2금속을 증착시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
