Abstract

본 발명은 퍼스널 컴퓨터를 이용한 VOD(브이오디 : Video On Demand)용 간이 서버장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 DSP(디에스퍼 : Digital Signal Processor)를 통신채널로 이용하여 데이타 요청이 있을시 퍼스널 컴퓨터의 하드디스크 또는 CD(Compact Disk)롬에 저장된 영상이나 정보를 전송할 수있도록 한 퍼스널 컴퓨터를 이용한 VOD용 간이 서버장치에 관한 것이다.
종래 VOD서버장치는 가격이 비싸고 부퍼가 커서 생산현장이나 소규모 사무실에서 사용하기 어려운 문제점이 있다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상기 문제점을 해결하기 위해 DSP를 통신채널로 이용하여 데이타 요청이 있을시 퍼스널 컴퓨터의 하드디스크 또는 CD롬에 저장된 영상이나 정보를 전송할 수 있도록 하여 생산현장이나 폼은 사무실에서도 손쉽게 사용할 수 있으며, 또한 카드형태로 제작하여 PC에 애드 언 카드(Add On Card)형태로 사용할 수 있으므로 이 장치 하나로 1대의 STB를 운영할 수 있는 퍼스널 컴퓨터를 이용한VOD용 간이 서버장치이다.

Claims (1)

  1. VOD 시스템과의 통신을 위한 DSP(10)와, 상기 DSP(10)의 동작에 관한 프로그램을 저장하고 있는 롬(11)자, 상기 롬(11)에 저장된 프로그램을 읽어들여 그 프로그램을 수행하는 램(12)과, 상기 DSP(10)와 퍼스널 컴퓨터 (16)간의 데이타 전송을 위해 입력되는 데이타를 일시적으로 저장하는 DP(디피)램 (13)과, 퍼스널 컴퓨터(16)에서 DP램 (13)으로 출력하는 데이타의 어드레스범위를 디코딩하는 어드레스 디코더 (14)와, 상기 DP램(13)과 퍼스널 컴퓨터(16)사이에 전송되는 데이타의 흐름을 콘트롤하는 데이타버퍼(15)와, 상기 VOD시스템에서 요구하는 정보를 하드디스크나 CD롬으로부터 읽어들여 데이타버퍼(15)를 통해 DP램(13)으로 공급하는 퍼스널컴퓨터(16)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 퍼스널 컴퓨터를 이용한 브이오디(VOD)용 간이 서버장치.
