Abstract
본 발명은 액정표시장치에 관한 것으로서, 화소전극과 공통전극이 형성되어 있는 하측 및 상측 액정기판을 실패턴으로 접합시키고, 상기 셀갭내에 액정을 채워 밀봉한 LCD에서 칼리필터를 상측 액정기판의 외측면과 편광판의 사이에 형성하였으므로, 투명전극 패턴 형성공정이 간단하므로 LCD자체의 생산이 용이하고, 칼라필터에 의한 단차를 고려하지 않아도 되므로 셀갭의 균일성이 향상되고, 투면전극 패턴의 투과율이 따른 칼라필터의 색표현 범위나 색순도가 향상되어 고화질화에 유리하다.

Claims (4)
- 화소전극과 공통전극 및 배향막이 각각 형성되어 있는 하측 및 상측 액정기판과, 상기 상·하측 액정기판을 예정된 셀갭을 갖도록 봉합시키는 실패턴과, 상기 상측 액정기판의 외측면에 형성되어 있는 칼라필터와, 상기 칼라필터를 덮는 평탄화층과, 상기 상측 액정기판의 평탄화층 상부와 하측 액정기판의 외측면에 각각 설치되어 있는 편광판을 구비하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 칼라필터와 평탄화층의 사이에 보호막을 개재시킨 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 보호막이 산화막이나 질화막인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 평탄화층이 투명 아크릴로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
