본 발명은 영상 기기의 자화면 표시 제어 방법 및 회로에 관한 것으로, 종래에는 자화면(PIP) 표시 기능의 영상 기기나 브이씨알에서 한 화면을 시청하면서 자화면(PIP) 표시 기능을 이용하여 다른 채널의 내용을 표시하거나 탐색할 경우 연속적으로 표시해야만 다른 채널의 프로그램 내용의 변경을 알 수 있으므로 자화면의 면적만큼 모화면이 표시되지 않는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 점을 개선하기 위하여 본 발명은 채널의 프로그램 변경을 알고자 키를 입력하면 자화면 영상 신호의 프로그램 식별 정보를 검출하여 해당 채널의 프로그램 식별 정보에 변경이 있을 경우에만 변경된 프로그램의 내용을 일정 시간동안 자화면에 표시하므로써 프로그램 탐색시 모화면 전체를 표시하도록 구성한 것으로, 본 발명은 자화면 기능 영상 기기에 적용하면 프로그램 식별 신호를 이용하여 타 채널의 프로그램 변동 순간에 그 내용을 자화면에 신속히 표시하므로써 타 채널에 시청하고자 하는 프로그램이 있을 경우 신속한 채널 전환을 수행할 수 있고 또한, 프로그램 식별 정보를 점검하여 변동 내용이 있으면 자화면에 표시함과 동시에 세로 변동된 프로그램 식별 정보를 세팅하므로써 사용자가 해당 프로그램을 시청할 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
