Abstract

PURPOSE: A method and circuit for searching a television broadcasting channel are provided to display the channel currently broadcasting on a liquid crystal monitor to allow a user to easily confirm the current broadcasting channel. CONSTITUTION: A user searches broadcasting channels in order to watch a broadcasting program he/she wants. When the user pushes a search key, data stored in a microcomputer is read. The read data is output. It is checked whether or not a stop key is inputted. When the stop key is inputted, the broadcasting channel at that time is output. When the stop key is not inputted, a timer is counted up to check whether or not timer is over. When the timer is over, a memory counter is counted up.
