Abstract

본 발명은 승객보호용 에어백에 관한 것으로서, 구형으로 백이 형성됨으로써 백용량이 커서 빠른시간내에 백을 완전히 전개시키기가 어렵고 승객의 승객의 머리 또는 어깨부위 일부분만 보호하는데 한정되어 있는 종래의 문제점을 해결하고자 한다.
이를 해결하기 위한 본 발명은 방사상으로 번갈아 가면서 에어공간이 형성되도록 백이 8자형으로 형성되고 소프트한 에어백도어가 승객측으로 튀어 나오도록 설치됨으로써 백용량이 최소한으로 줄어들어 백이 빠른시간내에 전개되고 승객보호면적이 상하로 넓게 형성됨에 따라 승객의 머리부분 또는 어깨부위는 물론 허리부위까지 보호가 가능하도록 한 것이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 도어 인너패널에 체결부재에 의해 장착되고 인플레이터를 파지하기 위한 탄지편이 형성되며 일측면이 개방된 하우징과, 상기 하우징의 탄지편에 의해 파지되고 점화됨에 따라 순간적으로 가스를 발생하는 인플레이터와, 상기 인플레이터를 감싼 상태로 장착되고 인플레이터로부터 발생되는 가스에 의해 "8"자형을 이루도록 상하로 넓게 전개되는 백과, 상기 백에 의해 소정길이만큼 도어 인너패널에서 승객측으로 튀어 나오도록 형성된 에어백도어를 구성되어 있는 승객보호용 에어백.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 백이, 납작한 형상으로 형성하고 방사상으로 번갈아 가면서 에어공간이 형성되어 있는 승객보호용 에어백.
