현재 철강재 파이프를 제조하는 여러 방법중의 하나로서 파이프소재가 되는 철판을 길게 절단하여 이 철판을 원형로울러와 요입로울러로서 순차적으로 조금씩 절곡하여 마침내 단면이 원형이 되게 파이프를 형성하고 그 맞닿은 단부를 전열용착하여 파이프를 완성한다. 이때 철판을 원형으로 절곡하는 로울러는 전열용착시 발생하는 엄청난 고열을 받게 되고 고열을 계속적으로 받으므로서 로울러의 내구수명이 짧아 정밀을 요하는 로울러를 제작하는데 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되었다. 따라서 종래 파이프를 제조할 시에는 로울러의 수명연장과 정밀도를 유지하기 위하여 로울러의 가동시 원시적인 방법으로 냉가수를 로울러 외면에 흘려 냉각시키는바 이때 수분이 용착부에 흘러서 용착시 발생되는 비철금속성분에 의하여 수분과 반응하여 산화되어 고급품질의 파이프를 생산하기 어려울 뿐 아니라 로울러의 외면은 냉각될지라도 두께가 두터운 로울러의 내면에 내재된 열을 냉각시킬 수 없었다. 본 고안은 상기와 같은 결점을 해결하기 위하여 로울러의 내면에 냉각수가 여러 갈래로 통수되게 하여 지속적으로 로울러의 내부로 부터 냉각시키므로서 로울러가 필요이상 가열되는 현상을 제거하도록 안출한 것으로 이의 실시예를 첨부한 도면에 의거 상술하면 다음과 같다.Currently, one of the various methods of manufacturing steel pipes is to cut the iron plate, which is a pipe material, by long cutting the iron plate sequentially as a circular roller and a concave roller, and finally form a pipe with a circular cross section, and heat the end portion thereof.
