Abstract

디지털 호출 시스템과 같은 디지털 통신 시스템에서, 문자 및 숫자 메시지는 보통, 가령 ASCⅡ비트의 문자 세트를 사용하여 문자순으로 엔코드된다. 상기 메시지를 전송할 때 관련되는 비트의 개수는 공통 사전을 저장하는 ROMS을 갖는 통신 시스템으로 제1국과 제2국을 배치하므로써 감속될 수 있다. 만약 존송될 단어가 상기 ROM에 존재하지 않는다면, 그것은 ASCⅡ문자를 사용해서 엔코드된다. 전송된 메시지 신호의 데이터 필드(DF)는 명령 및 제어필드(CCF)에 후속하며, 그리고 명령 및 제어필드(CCF)와 연결된다. 상기 명령 및 제어필드는 압축이 사용되었다는 지시사항과, 데이터 필드에서 ASCⅡ문자가 시작되고 끝나는 때를 결정하기 위한 수신기에 의해 사용될 수 있는 지시사항을 포함한다.

Claims (12)

  1. 적어도 한 포맷이 압축된 포맷인 적어도 두 포맷으로 문자 및 숫자 메시지를 엔코딩하는 수단을 갖는 전송 수단과, 수신 수단을 구비하는 디지털 통신 시스템에 있어서, 메시지의 필드는 명령 및 제어 필드에 후속하여 상기 명령 및 제어 필드의 제1문자는 상기 데이터 필드에 압축된 포맷이 사용되는지를 나타내고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1문자는 ASCⅡ 7비트의 문자인 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 엔코딩 수단은 상기 압축된 포맷일 때, 메시지의 엔코딩 동안 한 모드에서 다른 모드로 및 그 반대로 스위칭하는 적어도 두 모드로 문자 및 숫자 메시지를 엔코드하도록 적용되며, 상기 명령 및 제어 필드는 상기 메시지 데이터를 재생하기 위해 한 디코딩 모드에서 다른 디코딩 모드로 및 그 반대로 스위칭하는 수신 수단에 의해 사용될 수 있는 지시 사항을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  4. 메시지의 엔코딩 동안 한 모드에서 다른 모드로 및 그 반대로 스위칭하는 적어도 두 모드로 문자 및 숫자 메시지를 엔코딩하는 수단을 갖는 전송 수단과, 수신 수단을 구비한 디지털 통신 시스템에 있어서, 메시지의 데이터 필드는 상기 메시지 데이터를 재생하기 위해 한 디코딩 모드에서 다른 디코딩 모드로 및 그 반대로 스위칭하는 수단 수단에 의해 사용될 수 있는 지시사항을 포함한 명령 및 제어 필드에 후속하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  5. 제2항, 3항 또는 4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 한 엔코드된 모드는 적어도 하나의 구성 단어(spoken language word)를 나타내는 제1형 데이터 구조를 포함하며, 다른 엔코드된 모드는 각 영문자를 나타내는 제2형 데이터 구조를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 제1항 데이터 구조는 적어도 하나의 구어 단어와 하나의 스페이스 문자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  7. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 수신 수단은 소정의 저장 위치에 단어를 저장하는 비휘발성 메모리를 포함하며, 상기 제1형 데이터 구조는 메모리내의 저장 위치를 식별하는 문자쌍을 포함하며, 그리고 상기 저장 위치가 질문될 때, 해당하는 적어도 하나의 구어단어는 상기 제2형 데이터 구조 형태로 문자순으로 판독되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  8. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 지시사항을 데이터 필드내의 일련의 각 영문자의 문자 위치와 문자 개수를 지시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 일련의 각 영문자의 개수는 최대 n으로 제한되며, n개의 시리즈의 각 문자가 존재할 때 n번째의 시리즈가 데이터 메시지를 종료하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  10. 제1항 내지 제4항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 명령 및 제어 필드는 메시지의 코드 단어의 개수의 지시사항을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지털 통신 시스템.
  11. 제1항 내지 4항 중의 어느 한 항에 청구된 통신 시스템에 사용하기 위한 수신 장치로서, 명령 및 제어 필드와 데이터 필드를 수신 및 재생하는 수단과, 데이터 필드의 엔코딩과 메시지 데이터의 엔코딩이 양립 가능하게 하는데 사용되는 상기 명령 및 제어 필드내의 소정의 지시 사항에 따라 데이터 필드의 코드 단어를 디코딩하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 수신 장치.
  12. 제1항 내지 4항 중의 어느 한 항에 청구된 통신 시스템에 사용하기 위한 전송 장치로서, 적어도 한 포맷이 압축된 포맷인 적어도 두 포맷으로 문자 및 숫자 메시지를 엔코딩하는 수단을 구비한 전송 장치에 있어서, 메시지의 데이터 필드는 명령 및 제어 필드에 후속하며, 상기 명령 및 제어 필드의 제1문자는 상기 데이터 필드내에 압축된 포맷이 사용되는지를 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 전송장치.
