본 발명은 와이드 스크린 상에 4 : 3 픽쳐를 디스플레이할 경우 외부비데오신호 텔리텍스트신호, POP튜너에서 선국한 신호를 선택하여 스크린 여백 부분에 채워서 디스플레이 토록한 팝기능 와이드 스크린 TV수상기에 관한것으로, 이를 위하여 본 발명은 와이드 스크린 상에 4 : 3 픽쳐를 디스플레이 할 경우 스크린 여백부분에 외부 비데오신호, 텔리텍스트신호, POP튜너에서 선국한 신호를 선택하여 4 : 3신호와 별도의 픽쳐를 동시에 시청이 가능하도록 하므로써, 4: 3픽쳐 이외의 부분에 영상신호가 채워지지 않는 블랙 현상이 발생하는 종래의 문제점을 해소코자한 것이다.The present invention relates to a pop function wide screen TV receiver for displaying a 4: 3 picture on a wide screen by selecting an external video signal, a teletext signal, and a signal tuned by a POP tuner and filling it in the screen margin.
