본 발명은 VCR, TV수상기, 영상 편집기등의 영상표시기기에 라이브 영상에 문자를 더빙시켜 표시해주는 장치에 관한 것으로, 종래의 VCR, TV수상기, 영상 편집기등의 영상 표시기에서 문자 더빙장치는 그 배경이 되는 화면의 밝기에 관계없이 일정한 휘도레벨로 문자를 표시하므로 배경 영상의 휘도레벨과 문자의 휘도레벨이 비슷한 경우에는 문자의 식별력이 극히 저하되어 인식할 수 없게 되는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것이다. 본 발명은 문자가 표시될 라인의 영상신호 휘도레벨을 검출하고 이 배경화면의 휘도레벨을 문자식별의 기준레벨과 비교하여 그 비교결과에 따라 표시문자의 휘도레벨을 자동적으로 증감조절해 주므로서 영상표시기기에서 더빙된 문자를 정확하게 식별 가능하게 하는 것으로, VCR, TV수상기에 적용한다.The present invention relates to a device for dubbing characters on a live image on a video display device such as a VCR, a TV receiver, a video editor, and the like.
