Abstract
본 발명은 디지탈 영상 압축방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 화면의 영상데이타를 비트율 감소를 위해 압축부호화하고 압축된 데이타를 부호화단위의 최소단위인 싱크블럭을 형성하여 기록매체에 기록하고, 기록매체로부터 기록된 데이타를 재생하는 디지탈 영상 기록재생방법에 있어서, 소정수의 N×N 블럭을 하나의 유니트인 싱크블럭으로 나누고, 각 블럭마다 지그재그 스캐닝하여 1차원배열하며, 이 1차원 배열된 각각의 블럭에 대해 같은 위치의 계수들끼리 모아서 올림순으로 배열하여 가변장 부호화하여 싱크블럭의 데이타 영역을 휘도신호 및 색차신호의 저주파성분과 고주파성분을 별도로 기록하여 기록효율을 높일 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a digital image compression method and apparatus thereof, which compresses and encodes image data of a screen to reduce a bit rate, and forms compressed blocks, which are the minimum units of coding units, and records the compressed data on a recording medium. In a digital video recording and reproducing method for reproducing recorded data, a predetermined number of N × N blocks are divided into a sync block as one unit, zigzag scanning for each block, and one-dimensional arraying is performed. The coefficients of the same positions are arranged in ascending order and variable length coding is performed so that the low frequency component and the high frequency component of the luminance signal and the color difference signal are separately recorded in the sync block data to increase the recording efficiency.
