Abstract

본 발명은 디지탈 영상 압축방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 화면의 영상데이타를 비트율 감소를 위해 압축부호화하고 압축된 데이타를 부호화단위의 최소단위인 싱크블럭을 형성하여 기록매체에 기록하고, 기록매체로부터 기록된 데이타를 재생하는 디지탈 영상 기록재생방법에 있어서, 소정수의 N×N 블럭을 하나의 유니트인 싱크블럭으로 나누고, 각 블럭마다 지그재그 스캐닝하여 1차원배열하며, 이 1차원 배열된 각각의 블럭에 대해 같은 위치의 계수들끼리 모아서 올림순으로 배열하여 가변장 부호화하여 싱크블럭의 데이타 영역을 휘도신호 및 색차신호의 저주파성분과 고주파성분을 별도로 기록하여 기록효율을 높일 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
