Abstract

우리는 레터박스(letterbox)텔레비젼 신호, 즉 고화질 텔레비젼 신호를 위한 표준 종횡비 텔레비젼 수상기에 의해 기술하며, 이때 와이드 종횡비 픽쳐 및 최고한 하나의 수평(블랙)바가 공동으로 표준 종횡비 텔레비젼 픽쳐를 형성한다. 상기 수평바는 고화질(extended)수상기의 성능을 개선하기 위해 영상 강화(enhancement)신호를 전달할 수도 있다. 상기 수상기는 수평바의 가시성을 감소시키기위한 외란 감소장치(5,7,11)와 상기 고화질 텔레비젼 신호로 인코딩된 추가 제어 신호를 위한 디코더(9)를 포함하므로써, 상기 외란 감소장치(5,7,11)에 대해 외란 감소 제어 신호를 공급하게 된다. 본 발명에 따라, 상기 외란 감소 장치가 사실상 표준종횡비 디스플레이 디바이스(3)의 가시파트로부터 수평바를 분리하기위한 줌 프로세서(11)와 상기 수평 바를 다른 신호로 대체시키기 위한 회로(5,7)를 포함하므로써, 유져 제어 신호가 상기 줌 프로세서(11)와 상기 대체 회로(5,7)사이를 선택한다.

Claims (3)

  1. 표준 종횡비 디스플레이 디바이스상에 디스플레이되며, 표준 종횡비 픽쳐를 형성하도록 최소한 하나의 수평바(bar)와 함께 와이드 종횡비 픽쳐를 전달하는 고화질(extended)텔레비젼 신호를 수신하기 위한 텔레비젼 수상기에 있어서, 외란 감소 제어 신호를 공급하기 위해 상기 고화질 텔레비젼 신호로 인코딩된 추가 제어신호를 디코딩하는 수단 및 상기 최소한 한 수평바의 가시성을 감소시키기 위해 상기 외란 감소 제어 신호를 수신하도록 연결된 외란 감소 수단을 포함하며, 상기 외란 감소 수단은, 상기 표준 종횡비 디스플레이 디바이스의 가시 파트로 부터 사실상 최소한 하나의 수평 바를 분리시키기 위한 줌 프로세서 수단과, 상기 최소한 하나의 수평 바를 다른 신호로 대체하는 수단 및 유져 제어 신호에 응답하여 상기 줌 프로세서 수단과 상기 대체 수단 사이를 선택하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 줌 프로세서 수산 또는 상기 대체 수단이 상기 외란 감소 제어 신호에 의존하여 자동적으로 인에이블되는 지의 여부를 지적하며, 그에 따라 상기 유져 제어신호가 자동적으로 인에이블된 수단을 중지시키고 상기 줌 프로세서 또는 대체수단중 다른 하나를 인에이블시키는 우선(preference)세팅수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 추가 제어 신호가 상기 와이드 종횡비 픽쳐의 종횡비를 지적하고, 상기 외란 감소 제어 신호가 상기 와이드 종횡비 픽쳐의 상기 종횡비에 좌우되는 것을 특징으로 하는 텔레비젼 수상기.
