Abstract
광 또는 광자기디스크나 광테이프 등의 광기록매체에 광빔을 주사하고 그 광기록매체에서 반사하는 광빔으로부터 전기적인 신호를 검출해 내는 광픽업에 있어서, 고밀도의 기록정보를 재생하기 위한 재생신호 검출방법이 개시되어 있다. 그 방법은 재생신호 검출용 광검출기를 정보의 트랙방향으로 적어도 다분할 된 광검출기를 사용하고, 그 다분할 광검출기의 두영역으로부터 출력되는 신호를 차동증폭기로 차동케 한다. 개시된 방법에 의하여 검출되는 재생신호는 2분할 광검출기를 사용하는 경우 2배의 높은 주파수를 가진다. 이것은 2배의 기록밀도로 기록된 정보의 재생이 가능함을 의미한다. 따라서 개시된 방법에 의하여 기존 광기록매체의 기록밀도를 적어도 2배 향상시킬 수 있는 것이다.In an optical pickup for scanning an optical beam onto an optical recording medium such as an optical or magneto-optical disk or optical tape and detecting an electrical signal from the optical beam reflected from the optical recording medium, a reproduction signal for reproducing high density recording information is detected. This means that information recorded at twice the recording density can be reproduced. Therefore, the recording density of the existing optical recording medium can be improved at least twice by the disclosed method.
