고화질 텔레비젼에 있어서 영상의 비월주사를 순차주사로 변환하여 화질의 염화현상을 방지하기 위한 영상신호의 순차주사를 위한 보간방법이 설명되는바, 이는 입력되는 휘도신호의 과거화소와 현재화소 쌍의 3 X 3 윈도우 내에서 저주파에 대해서는 경사보간을 하고, 휘도신호중 고주파신호에 대해서는 상측 화소간 보간을 수행하도록 하여 화질의 열화현상을 제거함으로써 선명한 화면을 제공하기 위한 것이다.An interpolation method for sequential scanning of a video signal for converting interlaced scanning of an image into sequential scanning in a high definition television to prevent chlorination of image quality is described.
