Abstract

본 발명은 하기 단계들로 구성되는 방법에 의해 생성되는, 윤활유 점도 지수 개질제로서 유용한 성상 중합체를 제공한다: (a) 이소프렌과 스티렌을 음이온적으로 중합하여 각각 A-B 구조를 갖는 블록 공중합체 분자를 생성하고, 이때 B는 30,000 내지 70,000의 수평균 분자량(MW1)을 갖는 폴리이소프렌 블록이고 A는 4,000-(MW1/30) 내지 3,000+(MW1/30)의 수평균 분자량(MWs)을 갖는 폴리스티렌 블럭이다); (b) 블럭 공중합체 분자를 블럭 공중합체 분자 몰 당 2.5몰 이상의 폴리 알케닐 커플링제로 커플링시키고; 및 (c) 적어도 95%의 이소프렌단위(올레핀 불포화) 및 15%이하의 스티렌 단위(방향족 불포화)가 수소화 되도록 성상 중합체를 선택적으로 수소화 한다; 이의 제조 방법; 및 이들을 함유하는 윤활유 조성물, 및 윤활유 농축물.

Claims (10)

  1. 하기 단계들로 구성되는 방법에 의해 생성된 성상 중합체: (a) 이소프렌과 스티렌을 음이온적으로 중합하여 각각 A-B 구조를 갖는 블럭 공중합체 분자를 생성하고, 이때 B는 30,000 내지 70,000의 수 평균 분자량(MW1)을 갖는 폴리이소프렌 블럭이고 A는 4,000-(MW1/30) 내지 3,000+(MW1/30)의 수평균 분자량(MWs)을 갖는 폴리스티렌 블럭이다; (b) 블럭 공중합체 분자를 블럭 공중합체 분자몰당 폴리알케닐 커플링제 2.5몰 이상으로 커플링시켜 성상 중합체를 형성하고; 및 (c) 적어도 95%의 이소프렌 단위(올레핀 불포화) 및 15% 이하의 스티렌 단위(방향족 불포화)가 수소화되도록 성상 중합체를 선택적으로 수소화한다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 폴리이소프렌 블럭 B의 수평균 분자량은 30,000 내지 60,000인 성상 중합체.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 폴리스티렌 블럭 A의 수평균 분자량은 3,000 내지 4,000인 성상 중합체.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 블럭 공중합체 분자는 블럭 공중합체 분자 몰 당 3몰의 폴리알케닐 커플링제로 커플링되는 성상 중합체.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 블럭 공중합체 분자는 다비닐벤젠으로 커플링되는 성상 중합체.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 적어도 98%의 올레핀 불포화가 수소화되는 성상 중합체.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 10% 이하의 방향족 불포화가 수소화되는 성상 중합체.
  8. 하기 단계들로 구성되는 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 성상 중합체의 제조 방법.(a) 이소프렌과 스티렌을 음이온적으로 중합하여 각각 A-B 구조를 갖는 블럭 공중합체 분자를 생성하고, 이때 B는 30,000 내지 70,000의 수 평균 분자량 (MW1)을 갖는 폴리이소프렌 블럭이고 A는 4,000-(MW1/30) 내지 3,000+(MW1/30)의 수평균 분자량(MWs)을 갖는 리스티렌 블럭이다; (b) 블럭 공중합체 분자를 블럭 공합체분자몰 당 2.5몰 이상의 폴리알케닐 커플링제로 커플링시켜 성상 중합체를 형성하고; 및 (c) 적어도 95%의 이소프렌 단위(올레핀 불포화) 및 15% 이하의 스티렌 단위(방향족 불포화)가 수소화 되도록 성상 중합체를 선택적으로 수소화 한다.
  9. 다량의 윤활유 및 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에서 청구된 소량의 성상 중합체로 구성되는 윤활유 조성물.
  10. 전체 농축물을 기준으로, 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에서 청구된 성상 중합체 10 내지 80중량%로 구성되는 윤활유 농축물.
