본 고안의 담배 파이프의 여과장치에 관한 것으로, 공지의 담배 파이프의 여과실 전방에 충돌·확산 와류현상이 일어나는 여과실을 형성하여 여과효과가 우수하도록 한 것이다.
일반적으로 담배 파이프의 여과장치는 파이프내에 활성탄이나 섬유 휠타와 같은 여과재를 수납할 단일 여과실이 형성되었다.
이와같은 여과장치는 단순히 담배연기가 여과실을 통과할때 그 내부의 여과물질에 의존하여 흡착제거되는 것이어서, 여과효과가 매우 빈약하였다.
본 고안에서는 이와같은 종래의 단순 여과장치와는 달리 흡연시 담배연기가 급히 냉각되게 좁은 구멍을 통과시킨 다음 넓은 곳으로 방출될 때 돌출부에 충돌·확산·와류되면서 온도차이에 의하여 습기와 니코틴, 타르 기타 가스를 내포한 담배연기가 응축되어 니코틴과 타르가 여과실의 돌출부와 여과실 내면에 침착된후 잔여 담배연기가 종래의 여과실을 통과하면서 재차 여과시킴으로서 흡연을 순화시키도록 한 것이다.
이를 첨부된 도면에 의하여 그 구성을 상세히 설명하면 다음과 같다.
흡출구(1a)와 권연 삽입구(1b) 사이의 여과실(2)에 여과제(3)를 충진시켜서된 담배 파이프(1)에 있어서, 종래의 여과실(3)과 권연삽입구(1b) 사이에 제1여과실(4)을 형성하되 제1여과실(4) 전방은 권연 삽입구(1b)와 연통되게 길이가 길고좁은 흡인구(5)를 설치하고, 후방은 종래의 여과실(3)과 통공(6)으로 통하게하며, 제1여과실(4) 중앙에는 흡인구(5) 직전방까지 담배연기의 충돌 와류돌기(7)를 돌출되게 설치하여서된 구성이다.
본 고안 실시에 있어서, 여과실(2)의 여과제(3)는 흡착력이 우수한 시리카겔을 충진시킨다.
이와같이 구성된 본 고안 파이프는 흡연시 권연삽입구(1b)에 권연을 끼우고 흡출구(1a)을 물고 흡연하게되는데, 이때 과열상태의 담배연기는 길이가 길고좁은 흡인구(5)를 통과할 때 유속이 빨라지면서 기압이 맞아져 냉각되 후 다시 넓은 제1여과실(4)로 유입시 제1여과실(4) 중앙의 충돌 와류 온도 돌기(7)에 충돌 와류되고, 이때 습기를 내포한 담배연기는 온도변화에 따라 연기중의 니코틴과 타르가 응축되어 제1여과실(4) 내면에 침착되어 여과된다.
여과된 잔여연기는 통공(6)을 통해 종래의 여과실(3)에서 재차 여과된후 흡출구(1a)로 흡출되는 것을 흡연하게 된다.
이와같은 흡연상태는 인체에 유해한 가스와 다량의 니코틴과 타르가 여과된 상태에서 흡연을 순화시키는 효과가 있다.

  1. 흡출구(1a)와 권연삽입구(1b)사이의 여과실(2)에 여과제(3)가 충진되어 있는 담배파이프(1)에 있어서, 종래의 여과실(2)과 권연삽입구(1b) 사이에 제1여과실(4)을 형성하되, 제1여과실(4) 전방은 권연삽입구(1b)와 연통되는 길이가 길고좁은 흡인구(5)를 형성하고, 후방은 종래 여과실(4)과 연통되는 통공(6)을 설치하며, 제1여과실(4) 중앙에는 흡입구(5) 직전방까지 충돌 와류 유도돌기(7)를 돌출되게 설치하여서된 담배 파이프의 여과장치.
