Claims (8)

  1. 최소한 두 입력포트(11,12)를 통해서 광을 공급시키고 두 모드가 전파하도록 하는 유전 매체(10)를 구비하며, 최소한 하나의 출력포트(13,14)를 갖는 광학신호증폭 장치에 있어서, 상기 유전매체(10)는 비선형 광학 동작을 나타내는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 신호 증폭장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 입력포트중 하나(11)를 통해서, 광학신호가 유전매체(10)로 들어가는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 입력포트중 하나(12)를 통해서, 고-에너지 광이 연속적으로 또는 펄스 형태로 유전매체(10)에 들어가는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  4. 제2항 및 제3항에 있어서, 상기 증폭된 광학 신호는 출력 포트(13,14)에서 이용가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 유전매체는 두개의 제어전극(15,16)으로 둘러싸여진 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  6. 유전물질은 비선형 광학 동작을 나타내며, 고-에너지 광은 광학신호로 변조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학신호 증폭방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 유전물질은 두 모드가 전파하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  8. 제7항에 상기 증폭은 외부 전기 필드에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
