Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the nonlinear distortion, by using the light source the same system as the light source being the objective of the improvement of nonlinear distortion. CONSTITUTION:An input electric signal e1 modulates the outputted optical signal of the light source 7 and the light source 2 of the same type, via a modulation circuit 1. The photodetector 3 convertes the said optical signal into an electric signal and inputs it to the synthesis circuit 5 after amplifying it at the amplifier circuit 4. On the other hand, since the input signal e1 is applied to the synthesis circuit 5, the output signal e3 is e1-e2. The output signal e3 modulates the output light of the light source 7 via the modulation circuit 6. The output signal e3 includes the component of opposite polarity as the nonlinear distortion which might be produced from the light source 7, allowing to reduce the nonlinear distortion in the output light from the light source 7.
