Claims (5)

  1. 일반식(I)의 네개고리 에스테르와 에테르
    상기식에서, R1과 R2는 상호 독립적으로 탄소수 9까지 가지는 알킬 또는 알케닐 또는 이들의 잔기이고, 여기서 하나의 CH2그룹은 산소에 의해 대치되며, m과 n은 각기 1 또는 2이고, m과 n의 합계는 3이고, X1과 X2는 각기 수소 또는 플루오르이고, 그리고 Q는 -CH2- 또는 -CO-이고, m=2인 경우 Q는 CH2그리고/또는 적어도 X1과 X2의 하나가 F인 조건을 가진다.
  2. 일반식(I)의 네개고리 에스테르와 에테르를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, Q=-CO-인 경우에 일반식(Ⅲ)의 카르복실산 또는 이들의 반응성 유도체를
    (여기서, R1과 m은 제1항에서 표시한 뜻을 가진다), 일반식(Ⅳ)의 페놀 또는 이들의 반응성 유도체와
    (여기서, X1,X2,n 그리고 R2는 제1항에서 표시한 뜻을 가진다)반응시키거나, 또는 Q=-CH2-인 경우에, 일반식(V)의 할로겐화물 또는 이들의 반응성 유도체와
    (여기서, R1과 m은 제1항에서 표시한 뜻을 가지며, 그리고 Y는 할로겐이다) 일반식(Ⅳ)의 페놀 또는 대응되는 페놀레이트와 반응시킴을 특징으로 하는 일반식(I)의 네개고리 에스테르와 에테르의 제조방법.
  3. 적어도 두개의 성분의 혼합물인 액정매체에 있어서, 적어도 하나의 성분이 일반식(I)의 네개 고리 에스테르 또는 에테르인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 매체.
  4. 액정표시장치에 있어서, 이것이 제3항에 있어서, 액정매체를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  5. 전광표시장치에 있어서, 이것이 제3항의 액정매체를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전광표시장치.
