종래에는 유년부 어린이들에게 한글을 습득시키려할려면 챠드식으로 된 곳에 그림과 글자를 도형화 하여 된 것이 있었으나 이러한 것은 글자의 변형에 따른 응용력이 저하되었으며 챠드의 크기가 결정되어 있어 벽에 걸어 놓고 습득케 해야 했기 때문에 유년 어린이들이 쉽게 실증을 느끼게 되었고 한글을 습득하는 능률이 저하되었음을 학모들은 이미 경험하여 잘알고 있는 실정인 것이다. 또한 자음과 모음 그리고 받침자에 자석을 부착시켜 철판으로 되는 대판에 부착시켜 가면서 한글을 습득토록 한것도 있었으나 이러한 것은 자음과 모음 그리고 받침자가 별개로 제작 취급토록 되어 있어 사용도중 분실 되는 경우가 허다 했으며 그렇게 되면 그 사용이 불가능하게 되어 경제적인 손실도 막대했으며 사용방법도 단순히 자석의 자력에 의해 부착시켜 가면서 글자를 만들어 주는 것이므로 곧 실증을 느끼게 되었던 것이다. 그리고 여러장의 카드에 글자와 그림을 표기하여 이것을 교습구에 끼워서 그림을 연상하면서 글자를 익히도록 한 것도 있었으나 이와 같은 것도 카드의 취급이 불편할 뿐만 아니라 제한된 면적의 카드내에 글자와 그림을 표기해야 했기 때문에 글자의 변형에 따라 효율적으로 대처 하기가 곤란했던 것이다.Conventionally, in order to acquire Hangeul to young children, there were ones in which the figure and letters were figured in a chad-type, but this was applied to the wall and the size of the chard was determined.
