Claims (5)

  1. 광학적으로 이방성인 방향족 폴리아미드의 산용액을 제1속도에서 1개 이상의 방사 모세관을 통해 압출시킨 다음; 이 압출된 필라멘트를 비-응고화 유체층을 통해 응고화 욕으로 통과시키고; 이 응고화된 필라멘트를, 응고화 액체 및 배출관의 입구내 및 입구 근처에서 섬유에 대하여 대칭적으로 사출되는 액체를 과잉유출 시키면서 배출관을 통해 통상적으로 하부방향으로 방출시켜 사출속도의 수직적 하강 성분을 제공하여 탄성율이 높은 고강도의 방향족 폴리아미드 필라멘트를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 제1속도에 대한 상기 수직적 하강 성분의 비율이 압출된 필라멘트를 스테이플 섬유로 파단시키기에 충분함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비율이 9이상인 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 스테이플 섬유를 펄프로 전환시키기 위하여 추가의 연마 단계를 포함하는 방법.
  4. 한쪽 말단으로부터 반대편 말단을 향해 가늘어지는 방향족 폴리아미드 스테이플 섬유.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 폴리(p-페닐렌 테레프탈아미드)로 구성된 스테이플 섬유.
