제1도는 본 발명에 의한 광학 도파관 섬유조직의 단면도.
제2도와 제3도는 본 발명의 조건에 만족되는 여러종류의 굴절률에 대한 그래프.

Claims (5)

  1. 광학도파관에 있어서, 최대굴절률이 n1이고 반지름 a인 투명한 물질로 이루어진 중심부와 이 중심부를 굴절률이 n2(n1보다 작다)인 투명한 물질로 피복한 피복층으로 광학도파관을 구성시키되, 이 도파관의 중심부위에 내부반경 a1가 0보다 크고 최대반경 a0가 a보다 작은 굴절률이 저하된 부위가 함유되어 있음을 특징으로 한 광학도파관.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, (n1-n2)/(n1-n3)의 양(n3는 중심부위에 있는 굴절률이 저하된 부위의 최대굴절률이다)이 2.0이하인 광학도파관.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 중심부위 중에서 반경이 0-ai인 부위와 ao-a인 부위의 굴절률이 실질적으로 균일한 광학도파관.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 중심부의 외측부와 내측부의 굴절률이 방사상으로 균일하지 않은 광학도파관.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 중심부위의 내측부와 외측부의 굴절률이 방정식 (n)1=n1[1-Δ(r/a)α](이 방정식에서는 α는 0부터 ∞까지의 매개변수이다)에 따라 변화되는 광학도파관.
