Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a wind power propulsion system and a ship including the same.
In general, ships can use fossil fuels to gain propulsion. Ships are equipped with engines with high power to drive thrusters and the like, and it is known that large ships consume hundreds of tons of fossil fuels during long-distance sailing. The cost of operating these ships is enormous, and the emission of pollutants from the consumption of fossil fuels is a very serious problem.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, a technology for diversifying the power source of a ship is being developed. For example, an electric propulsion ship technology that obtains a portion of propulsion from an electric motor has been developed and applied. In addition, technologies for obtaining electricity using various environmental conditions that a ship experiences at sea are being developed.
The
Since the
The

4 to 6 , the wind power propulsion system of Comparative Example 1 shown in FIG. 4 may have a structure in which a wing sail includes a pressure unit and a suction unit. In addition, the wind power propulsion system of Comparative Example 2 shown in FIG. 5 may be in a state in which the plate portion and the vertical pipe of the T-bar are removed from the wind power propulsion system of FIG. 2 . The wind power propulsion system of Comparative Example 3 shown in FIG. 6 may be in a state in which the plate portion of the T-bar is removed from the wind power propulsion system of FIG. 2 .
Table 1 below is a table for explaining the improvement of propulsion efficiency according to the wind power propulsion system of Comparative Examples 1 to 3 and the wind power propulsion system shown in FIG. 2 . In Table 1, Example 1 may be the wing sail shown in FIG. 2 .
In addition, the improvement in the propulsion efficiency of Comparative Examples 1 to 3 and Example 1 may be data of improvement in propulsion efficiency by one wind power propulsion system.
Referring to Table 1, it can be seen that the degree of improvement in the propulsion efficiency of the wind power propulsion systems of Comparative Examples 2 and 3 is lower than the degree of improvement of the propulsion efficiency of the wind power propulsion systems of Comparative Examples 1 and 1. In particular, it can be seen that the wind power propulsion system of Example 1 as shown in FIG. 2 can achieve high propulsion efficiency improvement compared to the wind power propulsion systems of Comparative Examples 1 to 3.
This is because, in the case of the wind power propulsion systems of Comparative Examples 2 and 3, the lowering of the propulsion efficiency occurs as the air introduced into the
