Description
본 발명은 적어도 하나의 면에 특정 잉크가 도포되어 있는 접착성 중간층 필름(adhesive interlayer film)에 의해 조합된 2개의 유리 시트를 포함하는 접합 유리(laminated glass)에 관한 것이다.
접합 유리는 내침투성(penetration resistance) 및 파손 후 파편의 보유와 같은 유리한 특징을 가지며, 자동차 및 건축 산업의 많은 응용 분야에서 사용된다. 폴리비닐 아세탈, 특히 폴리비닐 부티랄 (PVB)은 상기 접합체(laminate)의 중간층에 자주 사용되는 재료이다.
건축 산업에서, 특히 장식 목적 및 과도한 일광의 차광을 위해 다양한 색의 글레이징(glazing)에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 현재, 안료(pigment)는 PVB에 블렌딩된 다음 공압출되어 착색된 PVB 필름을 생성한다. 이러한 기술에는 몇 가지 단점이 있다. 예를 들면, PVB 필름 제조업체는, PVB 수지를 각각의 개별 색과 별도로 블랭딩하고 이어서 상기 개별 착색 필름을 압출한 이후에는, 이를 투명한 필름 또는 다른 색의 필름에 사용하기 전에는 전체 생산 라인을 청소하여 안료의 흔적을 제거해야 한다. 가능한 많은 수의 다양한 색 및 특정 색, 예컨대 특정 기업 디자인의 색에 대한 수요 증가로 인해, 필름 제조업체는 많은 수의 색을 생산하고 판매시까지 이들을 대부분 냉장 보관 조건하에 보관해야 한다. 이러한 문제에 대한 해결책으로, 상이한 기본 색들을 갖는 압출된 여러 시트의 PVB 필름을 적층(stacking)하여 특정 색의 접합체를 생산하는 것이 알려져 있다. 그러나, 기본 색을 갖는 여러 층을 적용하면, 허용 불가한 두께를 갖는 유리 접합체가 생성될 수 있다. 또한, 상이한 색의 PVB 층을 적층하면, 원치 않는 광학 왜곡 효과가 초래될 수 있고 접합(lamination) 단계 이전의 탈기(de-aeration) 공정에서 문제가 발생할 수 있다.
자동차 산업에서, 앞유리(windshield) 중의 2개의 유리 시트 중 적어도 하나에는, 앞유리와 섀시를 기계적으로 연결하는 실런트 또는 접착제를 UV 복사로부터 보호하기 위한 비투명 프레임이 통상적으로 제공된다. 특정 경우에, 다른 유리 시트에는 전기 연결이 보이지 않도록 숨기기 위해 이러한 비투명 프레임이 제공된다.
업계의 현재 표준 공정은 유리 표면들 중 하나 상에 소결 에나멜(sintering enamel)을 사용하고 있으며, 이는 높은 처리 온도로 인한 몇 가지 단점과 관련이 있다. WO 2019/038043 A1에는, 잉크를 사용하여 PVB 중간층 필름 상에 코팅 또는 인쇄되는 비투명 구역을 갖는 접합 유리가 개시되어 있다.
그러나, 놀랍게도, 본 발명에 이르러, 다수의 상업적으로 이용 가능한 잉크는, 중간층 필름에 이를 도포하면 유리 시트와 중간층 사이의 접착력 문제 및/또는 폴리비닐 아세탈 중간층 재료와의 비호환성(incompatibility)을 초래할 수 있으므로, 상기 잉크에는 접합 공정에서 특정한 결점이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은, 예를 들면 시간 및/또는 비용 측면에서 보다 경제적인 공정, 보다 유연한 공정을 사용하여 개선된 접합 유리 및/또는 향상된 특성, 특히 향상된 접착력을 갖는 접합 유리이다.
이들 및 다른 문제들은 본 발명에 의해 해결되었다.
본 발명은 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 A를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 접합함으로써 수득되는 접합 유리로서, 필름 A는 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하며, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크의 pH 값은 7 이상임을 특징으로 하는 접합 유리에 관한 것이다. 바람직하게는, 상기 잉크의 pH는 > 7.5, 보다 바람직하게는 > 8.0, 보다 더 바람직하게는 > 8.5이다. 또한, 바람직하게는, 상기 잉크의 pH는 7 내지 12, 보다 바람직하게는 7.5 내지 10, 가장 바람직하게는 8 내지 9이다.
pH 값은 표준 방법 DIN 19268:2007-05에 의해 판정된다.
또한 본 발명은 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 A를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 접합함으로써 수득되는 접합 유리로서, 필름 A는 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하며, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 또는 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하임을 특징으로 하는 접합 유리를 제공한다.
이온의 농도는 EPA 방법 3052에 따라 마이크로파 분해(digestion)를 통해 샘플을 준비한 후 유도 결합 플라즈마 원자 방출 분광법으로 판정해야 한다.
본 발명의 맥락에서, 잉크 중의 성분들의 농도는 필름 A의 표면에 잉크를 도포하기 전의 농도로서 주어진다. 따라서, "이의 도포 전"이라는 용어는 필름 A의 적어도 하나의 표면에 도포되기 전의 잉크의 상태를 지칭한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 접합 유리 구조의 바람직한 양태를 도시한 것으로, a 및 b는 2개의 유리 시트, c는 필름 A, d는 잉크가 도포되어 있는 필름 A의 표면 구역, e는 임의의 필름 B를 나타낸다.
바람직하게는, 접합 유리는 폴리비닐 아세탈 PB 및 적어도 하나의 가소제 WB를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 B를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 추가로 포함하며, 여기서, 상기 잉크가 도포되어 있는, 상기 필름 A의 적어도 하나의 표면은 필름 B와 마주본다. 따라서, 잉크와 유리 표면 사이의 접착력에 관한 가능한 문제를 줄이기 위해 잉크는 유리 시트에 직접 접촉하지 않는다.
놀랍게도, 본 발명자에 의해, 시판용 잉크가 도포되어 있는 표면이 유리 표면과 직접 접촉하지 않는 경우, 예를 들면 다른 폴리비닐 아세탈 표면과 접촉하는 표면에 상기 잉크가 도포되어 있는 경우, 구체적으로는 상기 잉크가 필름 A와 필름 B 사이에 개재되어 있을 때에도, 상기 시판용 잉크의 특정 성분이 폴리비닐 아세탈 중간층과 유리 표면간의 접착을 방해하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이론에 한정되지 않고, 접착을 방해하는 잉크 성분이 폴리비닐 아세탈을 통해 유리 표면으로 이동하고 있는 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 확산 과정은 가소제(plasticizer) 분자의 가수분해를 통해 소량으로 생성되는 특정 유기산과 같은 소량의 분자에 의해 촉진되는 것으로 추정된다. 예를 들면, 필름 A와 필름 B가 서로 상이한 양의 가소제를 함유하는 경우 가소제의 양은 접합 동안 그리고 접합 후에 평형을 이룰 것이다. 가소제 및 이의 절단(cleavage) 생성물의 이러한 이동은 접착에 영향을 끼치는 잉크 성분의 확산을 돕는 것으로 사료된다.
알칼리 및 알칼리 토금속 원소, 특히 칼슘, 마그네슘 및 칼륨 염의 이온은 유리 표면과 폴리비닐 아세탈 필름간의 접착력에 큰 영향을 끼치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 반면, 다수의 시판용 잉크는 알칼리 및/또는 알칼리 토금속 원소의 이온을 상당히 다량으로 함유한다. 상기 이온은 예를 들면 잉크 성분의 카운터 이온으로서 의도적으로 도입되거나, 성분들 중 하나의 불순물로서, 예를 들면 수계 잉크에서 주요 용매로 사용되는 물의 이온 부하(ion load)로서 의도치 않게 도입된다.
이들 양이온의 농도가 200mg/l 이하인 잉크를 사용하면 접착력이 개선된다. 바람직하게는, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 및 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 100mg/l 이하, 보다 더 바람직하게는 50mg/l 이하, 구체적으로는 10mg/l 이하이다. 칼륨의 경우, 상기 잉크 중의 농도는 바람직하게는 20mg/l 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 10mg/l 이하, 특히 2.5mg/l 이하이다. 마그네슘의 경우, 상기 잉크 중의 농도는 바람직하게는 50mg/l 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 25mg/l 이하, 특히 10mg/l 이하이다. 칼슘의 경우, 상기 잉크 중의 농도는 바람직하게는 250mg/l 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 100mg/l 이하, 가장 바람직하게는 50mg/l 이하, 특히 10mg/l 이하이다.
기술적으로 달성할 수 있는 가장 낮은 농도를 제외하고는 잉크 중의 이들 이온 농도의 하한은 없다.
본 발명에 따른 잉크는 액체 또는 페이스트 형태이며 안료 및/또는 염료를 함유한다. 적합한 안료 및 염료는 카본 블랙, 산화철, 스피넬 안료, 디아조 염료와 같은 유기 색 안료 또는 염료, 프탈로시아닌, 페릴렌, 안트라퀴논, 안트라피리미딘, 퀴노프탈론, 페리논, 퀴나크리돈, 디케토피롤로피롤, 모노아조 염료, 예를 들면 Thermoplastrot 454, Macrolexgelb G, Sandoplast Rot G 또는 Solvaperm Rot G, 및/또는 무기 안료, 예를 들면 크롬산아연, 황화카드뮴, 산화크롬, 군청색 안료, 금속 플레이크, 황산바륨 및 산화티타늄을 포함한다.
바람직하게는, 본 발명에 따른 잉크는 수계 잉크이다. 수계 인쇄 잉크는, 필름 결함을 유발할 수 있는 필름 A의 팽윤 또는 용해가 발생하지 않기 때문에, 유기 용매계 인쇄 잉크보다 선호된다.
용어 "수계 잉크(water-based ink)"는 물을 용매 베이스로 사용하는 임의의 잉크를 지칭한다.
수계 잉크의 경우, 탈이온수 (DI 수), 즉, 거의 모든 이온이 제거된 물을 사용하여 제조되는 잉크를 사용하는 것이 특히 바람직하다.
그러나, 탈이온수에 의해 제조된 잉크를 사용하면, 특히 상기 잉크가 높은 수준의 흡광도를 제공하는 경우와 같이 잉크 함유 필름이 연장된 기간에 걸쳐 고온에 노출되는 경우에, 폴리비닐 아세탈 필름이 열화(degradation)될 수 있다. 이러한 열화는 아세탈 기의 가수분해를 초래할 수 있는 탈이온수의 잔류 산도(residual acidity)에 의해 유발되는 것으로 사료된다. 증류수는 공기 중의 이산화탄소를 용해시켜 탄산을 형성한다. 예를 들면, 이산화탄소를 흡수하면 초순수의 pH가 4.5로 저하될 수 있다.
따라서, 따라서 상기 잉크의 pH를 조절하는 것이 바람직하다. pH 조절 제제의 예는 모노-, 디- 및 트리에탄올아민과 같은 알칸올아민, 수산화나트륨 및 수산화리튬을 포함한다.
본 발명에 따른 수계 잉크는 수혼화성(water-miscible) 유기 용매를 임의로 함유할 수 있다. 수혼화성 유기 용매의 예는 탄소수 1 내지 4의 알킬 알코올, 예컨대 메틸 알코올, 에틸 알코올, n-프로필 알코올, 이소프로필 알코올, n-부틸 알코올, sec-부틸 알코올 및 이소부틸 알코올; 케톤 또는 케톤 알코올, 예컨대 아세톤 및 디아세톤 알코올; 에테르, 예컨대 테트라하이드로푸란 (THF) 및 디옥산; 알킬렌 글리콜, 예컨대 에틸렌 글리콜, 프로필렌 글리콜, 디에틸렌 글리콜 및 트리에틸렌 글리콜; 폴리알킬렌 글리콜, 예컨대 폴리에틸렌 글리콜 및 폴리프로필렌 글리콜; 다가 알코올의 저급 알킬 에테르, 예컨대 에틸렌 글리콜 모노에틸 에테르, 프로필렌 글리콜 모노메틸 에테르, 디에틸렌 글리콜 모노에틸 에테르 및 트리에틸렌 글리콜 모노에틸 에테르; 저급 알킬 에테르 아세테이트, 예컨대 폴리에틸렌 글리콜 모노메틸 에테르 아세테이트; 글리세롤; 및 피롤리돈, 예컨대 2-메틸피롤리돈 및 N-메틸-2-피롤리돈을 포함한다. 글리콜이 특히 바람직하다. 이들 유기 용매의 양은 구체적으로 한정되지 않지만, 일반적으로 1 내지 50중량%, 바람직하게는 2 내지 10중량% 범위 내에 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 수계 잉크는 수가용성 수지, 예를 들면 비닐 피롤리돈의 저급 응축물, 수가용성 아크릴산 수지, 알코올 가용성 수지, 예를 들면 페놀 수지, 아크릴산 수지, 스티렌-말레산 수지, 폴리우레탄 수지, 폴리비닐 아세탈 수지, 폴리비닐 알코올 수지 또는 케톤 수지를 임의로 함유할 수 있다. 폴리비닐 아세탈, 특히 PVB 수지가 바람직하다. 이들 수지의 양은 구체적으로 한정되지 않지만, 일반적으로 10 내지 50중량%, 바람직하게는 20 내지 30중량% 범위 내에 있다.
칼륨, 마그네슘 및 칼슘 이온의 농도가 낮고 pH가 7 이상인 잉크를 사용하는 것이 특히 바람직하다.
특히 자동차 분야에서, 본 발명에 따른 잉크는 바람직하게는 흑색이고 접합 유리는 잉크가 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 비투명성이다. 또한, 바람직하게는, 잉크는 흑색 이외의 다른 색을 갖고 접합 유리는 잉크가 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 비투명성이다.
특히 건축 분야에서, 잉크는 흑색 이외의 다른 색을 갖고 접합 유리는 잉크가 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 투명하다. 대안적으로, 잉크는 흑색 이외의 다른 색을 갖고 접합 유리는 잉크가 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 비투명성이다.
"색(color)"이라는 용어는 특정 색을 표시하기 위한 목적으로 변형되지 않은 표준 상용 등급 PVB의 색 및 흑색 이외의 색으로 표면이 보이는 것을 의미한다. 상기 색은 가시광 스펙트럼의 가능한 색들로부터 단일 색 또는 상이한 색들의 혼합으로 선택할 수 있다. 또한, 또한 "색"은 금속 효과, 백색 구역 또는 임의의 가능한 회색 음영 구역을 지칭한다.
용어 "비투명(non-transparent)"은 가시 스펙트럼에서의 투광율이 5% 이하인 필름의 임의의 구역을 지칭한다. 용어 "투명"은 가시 스펙트럼에서의 투광율이 5% 이상인 필름의 임의의 구역을 지칭한다. 변형태에서, "비투명 구역"은 투명도를 향해 희미해질 수 있다. 이러한 변형태에서, 필름의 "비투명 구역"의 적어도 일부는 가시 스펙트럼에서의 투광율이 5% 미만이다.
비투명 구역은 완전히 불투명할 수 있고/있거나 부분적으로 차단될 수 있고/있거나 완전히 불투명한 엣지(edge)로부터 투명한 영역으로의 전이 영역을 가질 수 있다. 도트 패턴의 형태로 비연속성 인쇄(interrupted printing)를 달성할 수 있다. 비투명 구역은 투명한 것으로부터 불투명한 흑색 또는 회색으로 연속으로 뚜렷해질 수 있다.
비투명 구역의 형상은 직사각형일 수 있거나, 완성된 접합 유리의 윤곽을 따를 수 있다.
잉크는 오프셋 인쇄(offset printing), 윤전 그라비어 인쇄(rotogravure printing), 플렉소그래피(flexography) 및 스크린-인쇄(screen-printing)와 같이 인쇄 산업에 통상 알려져 있는 기술을 통해 도포될 수 있으며, 일반적으로 건조 단계가 뒤따른다. 또한, 바람직하게는, 중첩(superimposition)이, 선행 잉크 층을 적어도 부분적으로 건조시킨 후에 수행된다.
건조 단계에서 과도한 가열로 인한 필름 A의 주름생성 및/또는 변형을 방지하기 위해, 필름 A는 DSC법에 의해 Tg로 측정되는 이의 유리 전이 온도보다 높은 온도에 노출되지 않아야 하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서, 건조 단계 동안 필름 A의 온도는 필름 A의 Tg보다 적어도 3℃ 또는 적어도 5℃ 또는 적어도 10℃ 또는 적어도 15℃, 또는 가장 바람직하게는 적어도 20℃ 더 낮게 유지되는 것이 바람직하다.
인쇄된 영역 내의 잉크 층의 건조 필름 두께는 인쇄 기술 및 요구되는 불투명도에 따라 0.5 내지 50㎛이다. 통상적으로 건조 필름 두께는 1 내지 30㎛, 바람직하게는 2 내지 20㎛이다. 하나 이상의 잉크 층이 중첩되는 경우, 건조 필름 두께는 중첩된 층들의 총 두께를 지칭한다.
필름 A의 두께는, 접합 전에 시작 상태(starting state)에서, 10 내지 250㎛, 바람직하게는 20 내지 160㎛, 바람직하게는 30 내지 120㎛, 바람직하게는 40 내지 100㎛, 가장 바람직하게는 50 내지 80㎛이다. 이러한 두께 범위는 필름 상에 추가의 코팅 및 잉크 층을 포함하지 않는다. 접합 유리에서, 필름의 두께는 필름 B로부터의 가소제의 전달에 의해 증가할 수 있다.
필름 A는 (예를 들면, 압출 또는 용매 캐스팅에 의해) 필름 B와는 별도로 제조되며, 이후의 기능화(functionalization) 및 처리가 부정적인 영향을 받지 않도록, 가소제를 전혀 함유하지 않거나 가소제를 충분히 적은 비율로 함유한다.
필름 B는 당업계에 공지된 임의의 가소화된 PVB-필름일 수 있다. 필름 A 및 필름 B는, 접합 전에 시작 상태에서 및/또는 유리 시트들간의 접합을 위해 제조된 스택(stack)에서, 단일 가소제 뿐만 아니라 상이한 그리고 동일한 조성의 가소제의 혼합물을 함유할 수 있다. 용어 "상이한 조성"은 혼합물에서의 가소제의 유형 및 이의 비율 둘 다를 지칭한다. 접합 후, 즉 완성된 접합 유리에서, 필름 A 및 필름 B는 바람직하게는 동일한 가소제 WA 및 WB를 갖는다. 그러나, 바람직한 변형태에서, 필름 A는 이의 시작 상태에서 어떠한 가소제도 함유하지 않으며, 접합 후에 가소제 WB를 평형량(equilibrium amount)으로 함유한다.
본 발명에 따라 사용되는 가소제 함유 필름 B는, 접합 전에 시작 상태에서, 적어도 22중량%, 예컨대 22.0 내지 45.0중량%, 바람직하게는 25.0 내지 32.0중량%, 특히 26.0 내지 30.0중량%의 가소제를 함유한다.
본 발명에 따라 사용되는 필름 A는, 접합 전에 시작 상태에서, 22중량% (예컨대 21.9중량%) 미만, 18중량% 미만, 16중량% 미만, 12중량% 미만, 8중량% 미만, 4중량% 미만, 2중량% 미만, 1중량% 미만의 가소제를 함유하거나 또는 가소제를 함유하지 않을 수도 있다(0중량%). 본 발명의 바람직한 양태에서, 가소제 함량이 낮은 필름 A는 바람직하게는 0 내지 8중량%, 가장 바람직하게는 0 내지 4중량%의 가소제를 함유한다.
또한, 바람직하게는, 본 발명에 따른 접합 유리는, 접합 전에, 필름 A의 가소제 WA의 양은 22중량% 미만이고 필름 B의 가소제 WB의 양은 22중량% 이상이다. 보다 바람직하게는, 접합 전에, 필름 A의 가소제 WA의 양은 5중량% 미만이고, 구체적으로는 필름 A는 의도적으로 첨가된 가소제를 함유하지 않는다.
"접합 전"이라는 용어는 필름 A 및 B가 서로 어떠한 접촉을 갖기 전의 상태를 지칭한다. 예를 들면, 상기 용어는 별도로 형성되어 각각의 롤에 개별적으로 권취된 각 필름의 조성을 지칭한다.
필름 A 또는 필름 B는 바람직하게는, 동일하거나 상이하게, 0.1 내지 20mol%, 바람직하게는 0.5 내지 3mol%, 또는 5 내지 8mol% 비율의 폴리비닐 아세테이트 기를 갖는 폴리비닐 아세탈을 함유한다.
시작 상태에서 필름 B의 두께는 450 내지 2500㎛, 바람직하게는 600 내지 1000㎛, 바람직하게는 700 내지 900㎛이다. 서로 적층되어 있거나 필름 A에 의해 분리되어 있는 복수의 필름 B가 본 발명에서 사용될 수 있다.
폴리비닐 아세탈
본 발명에 따라 사용되는 필름 A 및 필름 B는 폴리비닐 알코올 또는 에틸렌 비닐 알코올 공중합체의 아세탈화(acetalisation)에 의해 생성되는 폴리비닐 아세탈을 함유한다.
상기 필름은, 각각이 상이한 폴리비닐 알코올 함량, 아세탈화도, 잔여 아세테이트 함량, 에틸렌 비율, 분자량 및 /또는 아세탈 기의 알데하이드의 상이한 쇄 길이를 갖는 폴리비닐 아세탈을 함유할 수 있다.
특히, 폴리비닐 아세탈의 제조에 사용되는 알데하이드 또는 케토 화합물은 탄소수 2 내지 10의 선형 또는 분지형 (즉, 말하자면 "n" 또는 "이소"형)일 수 있으며, 이는 상응하는 선형 또는 분지형 아세탈 기를 유도한다. 이에 따라, 폴리비닐 아세탈은 "폴리비닐(이소)아세탈" 또는 "폴리비닐(n)아세탈"로 지칭된다.
본 발명에 따라 사용되는 폴리비닐 아세탈은 특히 적어도 하나의 폴리비닐 알코올과 탄소수 2 내지 10의 하나 이상의 지방족 비분지형 케토-화합물의 반응으로부터 비롯된다. 이를 위해, n-부티르알데하이드가 바람직하게 사용되며, 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 폴리비닐 아세탈 PB는 둘 다 폴리비닐 부티랄이다.

필름 A에 사용되는 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA의 폴리비닐 알코올 함량은 6 - 26 중량%, 8 내지 24 중량%, 10 내지 22 중량%, 12 내지 21 중량%, 14 내지 20 중량%, 16 내지 19 중량% 및 바람직하게는 16 내지 21 중량% 또는 10 내지 16 중량%일 수 있다.
필름 A와는 무관하게, 필름 B에 사용되는 폴리비닐 아세탈 PB의 폴리비닐 알코올 함량은 14 내지 26중량%, 16 내지 24중량%, 17 내지 23중량%, 바람직하게는 18 내지 21중량%일 수 있다.
본 발명의 바람직한 양태에서, 필름 A는 비닐 알코올 기를 6 내지 26 중량% 비율로 갖는 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 를 포함하고, 필름 B는 비닐 알코올 기를 14 내지 26 중량% 비율로 갖는 폴리비닐 아세탈 B를 포함한다.
가소제
본 발명에 따라 사용되는 필름 A 및/또는 필름 B는 하기 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 가소제로서 함유할 수 있다:

- 지방족 또는 방향족 에스테르 알코올을 갖는 포스페이트, 예컨대 트리스(2-에틸헥실)포스페이트 (TOF), 트리에틸 포스페이트, 디페닐-2-에틸헥실 포스페이트, 및/또는 트리크레실 포스페이트,
- 시트르산, 석신산 및/또는 푸마르산의 에스테르.
정의에 의하면, 가소제는 높은 비점을 갖는 유기 액체이다. 이러한 이유로, 120℃ 초과의 비점을 갖는 추가의 타입의 유기 액체가 또한 가소제로 사용될 수 있다.
가소제 WA가 시작 상태에서 필름 A에 존재하고 있는 변형태에서 필름 A 및 또한 필름 B는 특히 바람직하게는 1,2-사이클로헥산 디카복실산 디이소노닐 에스테르 (DINCH) 또는 트리에틸렌 글리콜-비스-2-에틸 헥사노에이트 (3GO 또는 3G8)를 가소제로서 함유한다.
또한, 필름 A 및 필름 B는 추가의 첨가제, 예컨대, 잔류량의 물, UV 흡수제, 산화방지제, 접착력 조절제, 형광 증백제(optical brightener) 또는 형광 첨가제(fluorescent additive), 안정화제, 착색제, 가공 보조제, 무기 또는 유기 나노입자, 발열성 규산(pyrogenic silicic acid) 및/또는 표면 활성 물질을 함유할 수 있다.
접합 공정
또한 본 발명은 기재된 내침투성 유리 접합체를 제조하는 방법으로서, 필름 A를 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 이어서 이를 적어도 하나의 필름 B에 의해 커버하고, 이어서 제2 유리 시트를 적용하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
대안적으로, 필름 B를 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 이어서 이를 적어도 하나의 필름 A에 의해 커버하고, 이어서 제2 유리 시트를 적용할 수 있다.
추가로 본 발명은 접합 유리를 제조하는 방법으로서, 적어도 하나의 필름 A 및 적어도 하나의 필름 B를 포함하는 스택(stack)을 제공하고, 이 스택을 제1 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 이어서 제2 유리 시트를 적용하는 방법에 관한 것이다.

접합 유리를 제조하기 위한 접합 단계를 수행하여, 바람직하게는, 필름 A 및 필름 B를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 배치하고, 이에 따라 제조된 층형성된 몸체(layered body)를 승압 또는 감압하에 승온하에 가압하여 접합체를 형성한다.
층형성된 몸체를 접합하기 위해, 당업자에게 익숙한 방법을, 사전-접합체를 사전에 제조하거나 제조하지 않고 사용할 수 있다.
소위 "오토클레이브(autoclave) 공정"을 약 2시간 동안 약 10 내지 15bar의 승압 및 100 내지 150℃의 온도에서 수행한다. 예를 들면 EP 1 235 683 B1에 따른 진공 백(bag) 또는 진공 링(ring) 방법이 약 200mbar 및 130 내지 145℃에서 작용한다.
또한, 진공 라미네이터(vacuum laminator)가 사용될 수 있다. 이는 가열 및 배기될 수 있는 챔버로 이루어지며, 여기서, 접합 글레이징(laminated glazing)이 30 내지 60분 내에 접합될 수 있다. 0.01 내지 300mbar의 감압 및 100 내지 200℃, 특히 130 내지 160℃의 온도가 실제로 이들의 가치를 입증하였다.
가장 간단한 경우에서, 접합 유리 접합체를 제조하기 위해, 필름 A 또는 필름 B를 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 추가의 필름 B 또는 A를 동시에 또는 후속적으로 배치한다. 이어서, 제2 유리 시트를 적용하여, 유리 필름 접합체를 제조한다. 이어서, 잉여 공기를 당업자들에게 공지되어 있는 임의의 사전 접합 방법의 도움으로 제거할 수 있다. 여기서, 층들은 또한 이미 먼저 유리에 서로 가볍게 접착 결합되어 있다.
이어서, 유리 필름 접합체가 오토클레이브 공정에 제공될 수 있다. 필름 A를 바람직하게는 제1 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 보다 두꺼운 필름 B로 커버한 다음 제2 유리 시트를 적용한다. 이 방법은 다수의 가능한, 그리고 원칙적으로 실시 가능한 변형태로 수행될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 필름 A는 적절한 너비의 롤로부터 용이하게 제거되는 반면, 필름 B는 제조되어야 하는 접합 유리의 크기로 사전에 맞춤-절단된다. 이는 앞유리 및 그 밖의 자동차 글레이징 부품의 경우에 특히 유리하다. 이러한 경우, 맞춤 절단되기 전에 보다 두꺼운 필름 B를 추가로 계속 신장시키는 것이 특히 유리하다. 이는, 필름을 보다 경제적으로 사용되게 하거나, 필름 B가 색조(color tint)가 있는 경우, 이의 곡률을 상부 시트 엣지에 맞추는 것을 가능하게 한다.
얇은 필름 A는 일반적으로 캐스트-필름 라인(cast-film line)을 사용하는 압출에 의해, 또는 취입 필름(blown film) 형태로 제조된다. 여기서, 표면 거칠기는 또한 제어된 용융체 파단(melt fracture)에 의해 또는 구조화된 냉각 롤(chill roll) 및/또는 구조체 백롤(structure back roll)을 추가로 사용하는 캐스트-필름 방법으로 생성될 수 있다. 대안적으로, 용매-캐스트법을 사용하여 기능화 및 기재된 내침투성 유리 접합체에서의 사용 전에 필름 A를 제조할 수 있다. 본 발명에 따라 사용되는 필름은 바람직하게는 거칠기 Rz가 0 내지 25㎛, 바람직하게는 Rz 1 내지 20㎛, 특히 바람직하게는 Rz 3 내지 15㎛, 특히 Rz 4 내지 12㎛인 1면(one-sided) 표면 구조를 갖는다. 유리 시트와 접촉하게 되는 필름 A의 면이 이의 두께의 20% 이하인 표면 거칠기 Rz를 갖는 경우가 특히 바람직하다.
본 발명의 다른 측면은, 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA, 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하고 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하는 필름이며, 여기서, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크의 pH 값은 7 이상이고, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 또는 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하이다.
또한, pH 값이 7 이상이고/이거나 칼륨, 마그네슘 또는 칼슘의 농도가 200mg/l 이하인 잉크의 폴리비닐 아세탈 필름의, 표면 상에서의 인쇄 또는 코팅 공정에 있어서의 용도가 기재되어 있다.
본 발명의 측면은 전술된 바와 같은 본 발명에 따른 접합 유리의 제조 방법이며, 이는 필름 A의 적어도 하나의 표면의 구역을 잉크로 인쇄 또는 코팅하고, 이어서 제1 유리 시트 상에 배치하고, 적어도 하나의 필름 B에 의해 커버하고, 제2 유리 시트에 의해 커버하고, 이어서 100℃ 이상의 온도에서 접합함을 특징으로 한다.
실시예
PVB 수지 분말 (Kuraray Europe GmbH의 상용 등급 Mowital® B 60 H)을 공회전 이축 스크류(co-rotating twin screw) 유형의 실험실용 압출기의 유입구 깔때기로 공급하였다. 수용액의 중합체 수지에 대해 칼륨 아세테이트 사수화물 및 마그네슘 아세테이트 사수화물 0.525중량%를, 탈기된 용융물 중의 칼륨 아세테이트 사수화물 350ppm 및 마그네슘 아세테이트 사수화물 175ppm을 각각 생성시키도록 계산된 압출기 유입구 구역으로 동시에 투여하였다. 너비 34cm의 슬릿 다이(slit die)로부터 상기 용융물을 냉각된 냉각 롤(chill roll) 상으로 압출하여, 두께가 약 50㎛인 너비 30cm의 얇은 가소제 비함유 필름을 형성하고 이어서 이를 권취하였다 (ACA를 사용하여 필름 A로서 사용하고 평가하였음).
상기 필름을, 길이가 필름과 같고 너비가 5cm인 불투명 흑색 스트립으로 인쇄하였다.
수분 함량의 분석적 결정 (Karl-Fischer-방법) 및 금속 함량의 분석적 결정 (이온 크로마토그래피) 이전에, 롤을 23℃/28% RH의 일정한 기후를 갖는 조건화된 영역(conditioned area)에 보관하였다.
시험용 접합체를 제조하기 전에, 접착력이 저하된 상업용 자동차 등급 PVB 필름 (Kuraray Europe GmbH의 TROSIFOL® VG R10 0.76 = 필름 B의 예)을 동일한 기후에서 조건화시켰다.
하기 레이업(lay-up) 순서로 필름 A 및 필름 B와 함께 표준 두께의 투명 유리 (2× Planiclear® 2.1mm, 이는 평탄한 유리 세척기에서 < 5μS의 탈이온수로 세정됨)를 조합시킴으로써, 치수가 30cm×30cm인 시험용 접합체를 얻었다.
자동차 등급 PVB와 함께 접착력 시험 및 내침투성에 대해: 하단부 유리 (공기 쪽(air side)) - 필름 A - 존재하는 경우, 잉크 층 - VG R10 - (주석 쪽(tin side)) 상단부 유리.
상기 샌드위치를 시판용 평판 유리 라미네이팅 니퍼 라인(flat glass laminating nipper-line)을 통과시켜 사전-접합체를 제조하였다. 표준 조건 (140℃ 및 12bar에서의 30분 유지 시간을 포함하는 90분)을 갖는 오토클레이브를 사용하여 접합을 달성하였다.
추가의 기계적 평가에 앞서, 접합체를 23℃ 주위 조건에서 1주일 동안 정치시켰다.
접합 구조체의 내침투성을 ECE 43R (23℃에서 2.26kg의 강구(steel ball), -20℃ 및 +40℃에서 226g의 강구)에 따라 시험하였다. 상기 접합체 구성(configuration) (2mm×2.1mm)은 앞유리 글레이징에 대한 ECE R43에 규정된 요구사항을 안전하게 통과하였다.
실시예 1
인쇄를, 시판용 잉크젯 잉크를 사용한 디지털 잉크젯 인쇄에 의해 달성하였다. 중합체에 대한 잉크의 공격을 방지하기 위해, 반투명 필름이 달성되도록 단일 인쇄 단계의 색 강도를 선택하였다. 필요한 불투명성을, 인쇄 잉크의 다음 층을 적용하기 전에, 이미 인쇄된 부분의 중복인쇄(overprinting) 및 이후의 22℃에서의 필름 건조에 의해 달성하였다.
비교예
인쇄를, 결합제로서의 폴리아크릴레이트 및 안료로서의 카본 블랙을 기반으로 하는 플렉소 인쇄에 적합한 수계 인쇄 잉크를 사용하여 달성하였다. 유사한 인쇄 잉크가 예를 들면 독일 지크부르크에 소재한 Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA로부터 상업적으로 입수 가능하다. 상기 잉크는 62ppm의 칼슘, 8ppm의 마그네슘 및 12ppm의 칼륨 금속을 함유하는 것으로 분석되었다. 충분히 높은 불투명도로 9㎛에 가까운 총 건조 층 두께에 도달하기 위해, 상기 흑색 인쇄된 층을 2회 (총 3개의 잉크 층) 중복인쇄하였다. 건조 후, 인쇄된 구역 내의 필름 A의 함수량은 2%인 것으로 측정되었다.
필름 B로는, 접착력이 저하된 상업용 자동차 등급 PVB 필름 (Kuraray Europe GmbH로부터의 TROSIFOL® VG R10 0.76)을 사용하였다.
기술된 바와 같이 얻어진 인쇄된 필름 A를 포함하는 라미네이트는 투명한 부분과 불투명 흑색 부분 사이에 잘 규정되어 있는 엣지를 나타내었다. 인쇄된 영역의 흐릿해짐(blurring) 또는 변형은 관찰되지 않았다. 불투명도는 가시광 투광율이 명확하게 5% 미만인 것으로 측정되었다.
접착력 시험
유리에 대한 중간층 필름의 접착력을 시험하기 위해 "연타 시험(pummel test)"을 사용하였다. 본 시험은 당업자에게 잘 알려져 있으며 문헌에 설명되어 있다. 본 발명의 범주 내에서 제공된 연타 값(Pummel value)은 WO 03/033583 A1에 개시된 바와 같은 연타 시험에 의해 판정되었다.
PVB와 내부 유리 표면간의 접착력을 평가하기 위해 연타 시험을 수행할 때 하기의 것들이 관찰되었다:
인쇄되지 않은 영역에서, 유리와 VG R10 사이의 계면은 3 연타 단위의 접착력을 나타내고 필름 A와 유리 사이의 반대 계면은 4 연타 단위(Pummel unit)의 접착력을 나타내었다.
인쇄된 영역에서, 유리와 VG R10 사이의 계면은 3,5 연타 단위의 접착력을 나타내고 필름 A와 유리 사이의 반대 계면은 0 연타 단위의 접착력을 나타내었다 (유리가 큰 조각으로 벗겨짐).
실시예 2
인쇄를, 결합제로서의 폴리아크릴레이트 및 안료로서의 카본 블랙을 기반으로 하는 플렉소 인쇄에 적합한 수계 인쇄 잉크를 사용하여 달성하였다. 이러한 잉크 조성물을 제조하기 위해, 탈이온수를 통상의 수돗물 대신 사용하였다. 상기 잉크는 3ppm의 칼슘, 1ppm의 마그네슘 및 8ppm의 칼륨 금속을 함유하는 것으로 분석되었다. 충분히 높은 불투명도로 9㎛에 가까운 총 건조 층 두께에 도달하기 위해, 상기 흑색 인쇄된 층을 2회 (총 3개의 잉크 층) 중복인쇄하였다. 건조 후, 인쇄된 구역 내의 필름 A의 함수량은 2%인 것으로 측정되었다.

기술된 바와 같이 얻어진 인쇄된 필름 A를 포함하는 라미네이트는 투명한 부분과 불투명 흑색 부분 사이에 잘 규정되어 있는 엣지를 나타내었다. 인쇄된 영역의 흐릿해짐 또는 변형은 관찰되지 않았다. 불투명도는 가시광 투광율이 명확하게 5% 미만인 것으로 측정되었다.

또한, 접합체에 대해 7일 동안 100℃에서 열 흡수(heat soak) 시험을 수행하였다. 인쇄된 구획과 인쇄되지 않은 구획 모두 기포나 기타 가시적인 결함이 나타나지 않았다. 상기 접합체 샘플에 대해 ANSI Z97.1-2009에 따라 Atlas Ci65 Xenon Weather-Ometer에서 ASTM D2565에 명시된 방법을 사용하여 3000시간의 제논 시험을 수행하였다. 상기 접합체는 제논 방사선 공급원을 마주보는 필름 A로 배향되었다. 3000시간이 경과한 후에도 흑색은 크게 변하지 않았지만 필름 A와 잉크 층의 계면에서 미세한 기포가 관찰되었다. 잉크 층의 미량의 산성도가 산에 민감성 폴리비닐 부티랄을 부분적으로 분해한 것으로 추측된다.
실시예 3
인쇄를, 결합제로서의 폴리아크릴레이트 및 안료로서의 카본 블랙을 기반으로 하는 플렉소 인쇄에 적합한 수계 인쇄 잉크를 사용하여 달성하였다. 이러한 잉크 조성물을 제조하기 위해, 탈이온수를 통상의 수돗물 대신 사용하였다. 상기 잉크는 3ppm의 칼슘, 1ppm의 마그네슘 및 8ppm의 칼륨 금속을 함유하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 수산화나트륨을 첨가하여, 상기 잉크의 pH 값을 8.5의 값이 되도록 제어하였다. 충분히 높은 불투명도로 9㎛에 가까운 총 건조 층 두께에 도달하기 위해, 상기 흑색 인쇄된 층을 2회 (총 3개의 잉크 층) 중복인쇄하였다. 건조 후, 인쇄된 구역 내의 필름 A의 함수량은 2%인 것으로 측정되었다.
필름 B로는, 접착력이 저하된 상업용 자동차 등급 PVB 필름 (Kuraray Europe GmbH로부터의 TROSIFOL® VG R10 0.76)을 사용하였다.
기술된 바와 같이 얻어진 인쇄된 필름 A를 포함하는 라미네이트는 투명한 부분과 불투명 흑색 부분 사이에 잘 규정되어 있는 엣지를 나타내었다. 인쇄된 영역의 흐릿해짐 또는 변형은 관찰되지 않았다. 불투명도는 가시광 투광율이 명확하게 5% 미만인 것으로 측정되었다.
PVB와 내부 유리 표면간의 접착력을 평가하기 위해 연타 시험을 수행할 때 하기의 것들이 관찰되었다:
인쇄되지 않은 영역에서, 유리와 VG R10 사이의 계면은 3 연타 단위의 접착력을 나타내고 필름 A와 유리 사이의 반대 계면은 3.5 연타 단위의 접착력을 나타내었다.

Claims (13)
- 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 A를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 접합함으로써 수득되는 접합 유리로서,
- 필름 A는 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하며, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크의 pH 값은 7 이상임을 특징으로 하는, 접합 유리. - 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 A를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 접합함으로써 수득되는 접합 유리로서,
- 필름 A는 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하며, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 또는 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하임을 특징으로 하는, 접합 유리. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA와 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 A 및 폴리비닐 아세탈 PB와 적어도 하나의 가소제 WB를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 필름 B를 2개의 유리 시트 사이에 접합함으로써 수득되는 접합 유리로서, 상기 잉크가 도포되어 있는, 상기 필름 A의 적어도 하나의 표면은 필름 B와 마주보는, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 접합 전에,
- 필름 A의 가소제 WA의 양은 22중량% 미만이고,
- 필름 B의 가소제 WB의 양은 22중량% 이상인, 접합 유리. - 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 접합 전에, 필름 A의 가소제 WA의 양은 5중량% 미만인, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 및 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하, 바람직하게는 100mg/l 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 50mg/l 이하인, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크의 pH는 > 7.5, 바람직하게는 8.0 이상인, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA 및 폴리비닐 아세탈 PB는 폴리비닐 부티랄인, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 접합 유리는, 상기 잉크가 상기 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 비투명성인, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 접합 유리는 상기 잉크가 상기 필름 A의 표면에 도포되어 있는 구역에서 착색되어 있는, 접합 유리.
- 제1항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 잉크는 수계 잉크인, 접합 유리.
- 폴리비닐 아세탈 PA, 임의로 적어도 하나의 가소제 WA를 포함하고 적어도 하나의 표면 상에 잉크가 상기 표면에 도포되는 구역을 포함하는 필름으로서, 여기서, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크의 pH 값은 7 이상이고, 이의 도포 전에, 상기 잉크 중의 칼륨, 마그네슘 또는 칼슘 이온의 농도는 200mg/l 이하인, 필름.
