The present invention relates to a membrane cutting apparatus and a membrane cutting method for manufacturing a secondary cell.
2. Description of the Related Art Unlike a primary battery, which can not normally be charged, a secondary battery capable of charging and discharging is being actively studied in the development of advanced fields such as a digital camera, a mobile phone, and a hybrid vehicle. Examples of the secondary battery include a nickel-cadmium battery, a nickel-hydrogen battery, and a lithium secondary battery.
The secondary battery can be classified into a stacked structure, a winding type (jelly roll type) structure, and a folding type structure.
1 is a view illustrating a manufacturing process of a conventional folding type secondary battery.
1, in order to manufacture a folding type
Such a folding type secondary battery has the following problems.
First, since the separator must be rolled and laminated, there is a problem that it can not be realized in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped secondary battery. In recent years, various types of electronic devices have been introduced, and accordingly, various geometries of batteries have been required. For example, cells having a rounded shape (circular, elliptical, etc.) or a stepped shape (stepped shape or L shape) are disadvantageous in that they can not be realized by a folding method.
Second, in the case of the folding type secondary battery, the battery may be sideways pushed as the stack height increases. That is, in order to form a large-capacity secondary battery, the thickness of the lamination layer should be increased, and the longitudinal section should be maintained in a rectangular shape or a square shape. However, in the folding process, the bi-cells may be pushed to the side and deformed into a parallelogram shape.
Thirdly, according to the folding type secondary battery manufacturing method, there is a disadvantage that the electrode taps arranged up and down can not be aligned accurately and the degree of deviation in the left and right direction becomes large.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been proposed in order to solve the above problems.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a separation membrane cutting method comprising the steps of: picking up a monocell matrix loaded on a cassette and transferring the same to an aligner; Aligning the monocell matrix on the cutting reference line at the alignment portion; Guiding the aligned monocell matrix to a cutting device; Cutting a part of the separation membrane of the mono-cell body by the cutting device; A defective judgment step of judging whether a mono cell having a part of the separation membrane cut is transferred to a defective inspection section and judged as defective; And only monocells determined to be good in the bad checker are loaded on the cassette, and the bad monocell is discarded.

First, the lamination-type secondary battery manufacturing method has an advantage that a battery cell having various geometries other than a rectangular parallelepiped can be manufactured. Therefore, since the secondary battery can be designed in an appropriate shape according to the design of the electric product to which the secondary battery is attached, the degree of freedom in designing the battery cell is improved.
Second, for the production of a large-capacity battery, even if the stack height (or thickness) of the cell is increased, the phenomenon of being sideways does not occur.
Third, there is an advantage that the degree of deviation of the electrode taps adjacent to the upper and lower sides in the left and right direction is remarkably reduced.

In the notching step, the electrode material S supplied in the form of rolls is continuously fed into the notching device, and the middle portion B of the electrode material supplied in the form of a rectangular sheet in the notching device is cut into a predetermined width A notching operation is performed in which only the tab of the electrode portion is left. At the same time, a notching operation is performed in which both end portions B are cut along the design shape of the electrode portion as shown in the figure. Through this notching operation, one electrode material (S) sheet can be divided into two rows of electrode portions. In the electrode lamination step to be described later, a portion indicated by a dotted line is cut by a cutter and divided into individual electrode portions. The two rows of electrode portions become the first and second electrode materials described below.

In addition, the first and
Then, the electrode parts and the separators are thermo-compressed into a single body while passing through the laminator (L1, L2). Then, at the outlet end of the laminators L1 and L2, the combined body of the electrode portion and the separator is cut off by the cutter C3. The cutter C3 cuts the
7, when the
Hereinafter, a separator cutting apparatus and a cutting process for removing an unnecessary separation membrane portion will be described with reference to the drawings.

Referring to FIG. 8, a plurality of
In detail, in order to remove unnecessary separation membrane portion h7 formed in each of the
Hereinafter, the configuration and operation of the membrane cutting apparatus in which the above-described processes are performed will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
9 is an external perspective view of a membrane cutting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Hereinafter, each part described above will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
10 is an enlarged perspective view of a pickup unit constituting a separation membrane cutting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
10, the pick-up unit C of the separation
In detail, the
Alternatively, if one of the mono cells of the different types of mono cells is stacked relatively higher in the secondary battery manufacturing process than the other types of mono cells, the number of the cassettes for loading the same type of mono cell is A plurality can be prepared. It is apparent that a relatively large number of mono cells will be used when fabricating one battery cell because the stack height is relatively higher than mono cells having different shapes or sizes. Therefore, in such a case, it is advantageous that a large number of cassettes for loading monocells of the same kind are prepared.
The pick-up
In detail, the
Further, the driving
In addition, the plurality of pick-up modules rotate in one body by the
One or
In addition, vibrating means for vibrating the
The
According to this structure, when the
The driving
In this state, the
Meanwhile, the
For reference, although not specifically described with respect to the drive means or the guide rail and the guide post structure that enable the horizontal and vertical movement of the transport units described below, A description will be given on the assumption that a means is provided.
11 is an enlarged perspective view of an aligning portion and a membrane cutting portion which constitute a membrane cutting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As an example for aligning the monocell matrix, a method may be used in which the straight edges of the monocell matrix or the tab edges of the monocell matrix are accurately positioned on the reference line.
In detail, the alignment section D may include a vision camera 33 and an
The separating membrane cutting portion E includes a cutting
The alignment stand 34 and the transfer stand 35 may be mounted on a transfer means such as the
More specifically, the vision camera 33 constituting the alignment section D is disposed between the pick-up section C and the aligning
In other words, the photographed image information is analyzed to determine how far the position of the mono cell body adsorbed on the transporting
The edges of the mono cells or the edges of the tabs must be accurately aligned with the baseline so that the separator can be cut along the designed cutting line. When the monocell body is drawn into the cutting device in a state where the monocell body is not aligned in the correct position for cutting, the separation membrane portion to be cut may not be cut but may be cut to the electrode portion, Can be cut.
In order to prevent such a phenomenon, the vision camera 33 takes an image of the monocell matrix adsorbed on the bottom surface of the transporting
On the other hand, when the alignment value is calculated in the controller based on the image of the monocell matrix, the alignment information is transferred to the alignment stand 34 to move the
The alignment stand 34 includes an alignment table 341 on which the monocell matrix transferred from the
According to this configuration, when the
In the transfer stand 35 located on the side of the
On the other hand, on the alignment stand 34 which has been transferred to the separator cutting portion E, the mono cell accurately aligned at a position for cutting is placed. The transfer stand 35 may be provided in the same number as the

In order for the holding
Therefore, the holding
Specifically, in a state where the

FIG. 22 is a perspective view of a press apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 23 is a bottom perspective view of a press upper constituting the press apparatus.
22 and 23, the
Heat lines are embedded in the bottom surface of the press upper 592 and the upper surface of the press lower 591 to heat the mono cell laminate.
A lower
Further, a pattern (or frame) 592a corresponding to the shape of the secondary battery cell after completion of the pressing process is formed on the bottom surface of the presser upper 592. Therefore, the secondary battery cell will be formed in a shape corresponding to the shape of the frame formed on the bottom surface of the press upper 592.
The lower surface of the press
In detail, since the lower
In the portion corresponding to the position of the lower

Therefore, when the pre-press process and the main press process are completed, the secondary battery cell is transferred to the final press area for thermally pressing the protrusion corresponding to the shape of the lower

At this time, the mono-cell stack or the secondary battery cell inside the

Referring to FIG. 24, the secondary battery cell manufactured while passing through the pre-press and the main press is moved in the arrow direction while being placed on the
In detail, the final press portion J3 is located on the side of the main press portion J2 to allow the
In addition, in the pre-press process, the main press process and the final press process, the holding clamp can grip the mono-cell laminate and transfer it into the press device. In the final press process, (Or the secondary battery cell) to the inside of the final press device. Hereinafter, the mono cell laminate is supplied into the
The
In this state, the
The
The
In this state, the presser upper 612 is lowered to press the upper surface of the secondary battery cell with heat and pressure. Then, a portion protruding in the shape of the lower arm receiving groove is pressed on the upper surface of the secondary battery cell. The protruded portion is pressed and held at the same height as the upper surface portion of the secondary battery cell. Here, the upper surface portion of the secondary battery cell means the upper surface of the uppermost mono cell laminated portion. That is, when passing the final press process, the upper surface of the protruded portion becomes flush with the upper surface of the portions pressed by the main press portion, and one complete secondary battery cell is formed.

25, one complete secondary battery cell as shown in FIG. 2 is completed when passing through the final press portion J3, and the
When the secondary battery cell is transferred to the
Referring to FIG. 26, it is determined whether or not a failure has occurred in each of the secondary battery cells while passing through the
The secondary battery cell determined as a good product through this series of processes is moved to a packaging process in which the secondary battery cell is packed by the pouch and the electrolyte is injected.
