Abstract
A drill bit structure is disclosed. A drill bit structure according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a frame installed at a tip of a drill pipe; A drill bit rotatably installed on the frame about a rotation center axis perpendicular to a rotation center axis of the frame and a part of the drill bit exposed at a front end of the frame; And a drive for rotating the drill bit relative to the frame.
Description
The present invention relates to a drill bit structure.
A drilling operation is performed to drill the seabed well. The drilling operation is performed in such a manner that the drill bit installed at the tip of the drill pipe rotates and punctures the ground.
Such drilling operations require the drill bit to be worn or damaged during operation and must be replaced. A drill bit replacement scheme has been used that pulls the entire drill pipe out of the ground. This replacement method has a problem in that the replacement time is long and the entire period of the drilling operation is increased or the drilling operation cost is increased.
Embodiments of the present invention seek to provide a drill bit structure configured to reduce replacement time and cost.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a drill pipe, comprising: a frame installed at a distal end of a drill pipe; A drill bit rotatably installed on the frame about a rotation center axis perpendicular to a rotation center axis of the frame and a part of the drill bit exposed at a front end of the frame; And a drive for rotating the drill bit relative to the frame.
The frame may be formed with a receiving portion in which the drill bit is partially received.
The receiver may be provided with a light and a camera for monitoring the state of the drill bit.
The drill bit includes a rotating body; And a drill tip protruding from an outer circumferential surface of the rotating body.
The driving unit includes: a driving motor fixed inside the frame; And a transmitting member for transmitting a driving force of the driving motor to the drill bit.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, the drill bit can be replaced within the hole only by rotating the drill bit relative to the frame, so that the cost and time of drilling operation can be saved.
