Description

Electric Heater For Water}

The present invention relates to an electric water heater, and more particularly, to an electric water heater in which the structure of a tank is improved so that direct contact between incoming cold water and a heater can be avoided and the water can be drawn out from hot water having the highest temperature.

An electric water heater is a useful means of easily heating water for immediate use. An electric water heater may be used as an alternative to, or incidental to, an industrial household boiler.

The conventional electric water heater includes a hot water tank which is usually in a heat insulating structure and has an inlet of cold water and an outlet of hot water, an electric heater installed inside the hot water tank, a thermometer installed in the hot water tank to measure temperature, do.

In the electric water heater, the cold water usually flows through the lower part of the hot water tank, and the heated hot water is discharged from the upper part of the hot water tank. As shown in Korean Patent Application No. 10-2012-0022357 and FIG. 1, the cold water inlet and the hot water outlet provided in the hot water tank of the conventional electric water heater are provided with holes in the wall of the hot water tank 100, It is general that the socket 101 is provided and the pipes 103 and 105 are connected to the sockets 101 and 102.

 According to this structure, the cold water flowing into the hot water tank 100 is blown from the wall surface of the hot water tank 100, and the hot water passes through the hot water tank 100 wall surface, and then is discharged along the hot water pipe 103.

In the conventional electric water heater, the electric heater 107 is usually installed at the lower part of the hot water tank 100. This is because the heated water has a low specific gravity and rises to the top. However, according to the conventional electric water heater, the cold water W is designed to hit the electric heater 107 directly. That is, according to the related art, the electrothermal heater 107 is easily subjected to thermal shock. This causes problems such as an increase in electric consumption and shortening the service life of the electrothermal heater (107).

The hot water of the highest temperature inside the structure of the hot water tank 100 is not discharged even at the outlet of the hot water. This is because the hot water tank generally comprises a cylindrical body 100a and hemispherical lid plates 100b and 100c welded to both ends of the cylindrical body 100a and the hot water outlet is provided in the cylindrical body. According to the hot water tank having such a structure, the water vapor is always in contact with the upper cover 100b of the hot water tank, and the concern about corrosion is also increased.

Korean Patent Application No. 10-2012-0022357

The object of the present invention with respect to the above problems is to avoid the direct contact of the cold water supplied to the electric water heater with the electric heater to attenuate the thermal impact of the electric heater and to extract hot water having the highest temperature from the hot water outlet side And an object of the present invention is to provide an electric water heater capable of increasing thermal efficiency of an electric water heater.

The above-

A hot water tank having a hot water discharge port connected to a hot water discharge pipe at an upper portion thereof and a cold water inlet port connected to a cold water inflow pipe at a lower portion thereof;

An electric heater fixed to a side wall of the hot water tank and installed in the hot water tank;

A cold water pipe connecting socket fixed to the cold water inlet and connected to the cold water inflow pipe on one side and the other pipe on the other side;

And a cold water pipe connected to the other side of the cold water pipe connecting socket and extending toward the center of the hot water tank.

According to the features of this invention;

The cold water extension pipe may extend downward so that an end thereof faces the bottom plate of the hot water tank.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hot water pipe connecting socket which is fixed to the hot water outlet and has the hot water discharge pipe connected to one side and the other pipe connected to the other side. And a hot water pipe connected to the other side of the hot water pipe connection socket and extending toward the center of the hot water tank.

According to another feature of the present invention, the hot water extension pipe can extend upward so that an end thereof faces the upper plate of the hot water tank.

According to the present invention, depending on where the extension point of the cold water extension pipe is placed, the cold water supplied can be prevented from directly contacting the electric heater. In addition, drainage through the cold water extension pipe allows the water in the hot water tank to be discharged without leaving much water, thereby facilitating the cleaning and management of the hot water tank. Further, it is another object of the present invention to provide an electric water heater which can increase the thermal efficiency by extracting hot water having the highest temperature from the hot water outlet side.

1 is a schematic configuration diagram of an electric water heater according to the prior art.
2 is a schematic configuration diagram of an electric water heater according to an embodiment of the present invention.
3 is a schematic plan view of an electric water heater according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Hereinafter, the detailed contents of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 3 attached hereto.

An electric water heater is a heating device that heats water supplied using electricity and draws out heated hot water to use. Therefore, it is required to have a storage space for storing a predetermined amount of water.

The hot water tank 1 is provided with a hot water discharge port 5 to which a hot water discharge pipe 3 is connected and a cold water discharge port 9 to which a cold water discharge pipe 7 is connected, have. The shape of the hot water tank 1 can be variously considered. As shown in the drawings, the pressure vessel includes a cylindrical body 11 and dome-shaped cover plates 13 and 15 welded to both ends of the cylindrical body 11. The one side cover plate 13 becomes the bottom plate and the other side cover plate 15 becomes the top plate.

The hot water tank 1 may be fixed on the floor or attached to the wall depending on its capacity. The electrothermal heater 17 is fixed to the side wall of the hot water tank 1 and the heat transfer portion 17a is drawn into the hot water tank 1. A temperature sensor (not shown) for measuring the temperature of the water stored in the hot water tank 1 may be further included. A heat insulating plate (19) may be wrapped around the outside of the hot water tank (1). The electric heater (17) is expressed as being symmetrical with the cold water inlet (9) for the sake of understanding, and the scope of right of the present invention should not be limited by this specific form or structure.

A cold water pipe connecting socket (21) is fixed to the cold water inlet (9). The cold water pipe connecting socket 21 may be fixed to the hot water tank 1 by welding or may be fixed to the hot water tank through other sealing means or adhesive means. A cold water inflow pipe (7) is connected to one side of the cold water pipe connection socket (21) and another pipe pipe is connected to the other side. According to the present invention, the term "other pipe" as used herein refers to a cold water extension pipe 23 described later.

The cold water extension pipe 23 is connected to the other side of the cold water pipe connection socket 21 and extends toward the center of the hot water tank 1. The cold water extension pipe 23 may be a tubular body bent in an arc shape so that the end portion 23a may extend downward toward the center of the bottom plate 13 of the hot water tank 1. [ Thus, a head difference H is generated between the cold water inlet 9 and the end of the cold water extension pipe 23.

According to another feature of the present invention, the hot water pipe connection socket (25) is fixed to the hot water outlet (5). A hot water discharge pipe (3) is connected to one side of the hot water pipe connection socket (25) and another pipe pipe is connected to the other side. Here, the term "other pipe" refers to a hot water extension pipe 27 described later.

The hot water extension pipe (27) is connected to the other side of the hot water pipe connection socket (25) and extends toward the center of the hot water tank (1). According to another feature of the present invention, the hot water extension pipe (27) is an arc-shaped pipe member and can be extended upward so that the end portion (27a) faces the center portion of the upper plate (15) of the hot water tank (1). A head difference H 'is generated between the hot water outlet 5 and the end of the hot water extension pipe 27.

The cold water extension pipe (23) and the hot water extension pipe (27) may be copper pipes or synthetic pipes. The cold water extension pipe 23 and the hot water extension pipe 27 are shown curved in an arc shape, but they can be bent at one or more places. The above-mentioned water head difference (H, H ') can be 100 to 500 mm.

According to the above configuration, the cold water flowing into the hot water tank 1 flows into the hot water tank 1 from a position away from the electrothermal heater 17. Therefore, the electrothermal heater 17 and the cold water W do not directly strike each other, so that the electrothermal heater 17 is not subjected to thermal shock. Further, since the end of the cold water extension pipe 23 is adjacent to the bottom plate 13 of the hot water tank 1, the water in the hot water tank 1 can be more cleanly discharged when used as a drain.

The following effects are also obtained with respect to the hot water extension pipe 27. That is, the hot water is discharged from the uppermost portion of the hot water tank 1. Therefore, hot water of the highest temperature can be taken out and used.

According to the present invention, since the end of the hot water extension pipe (27) is located at a high place, it is not necessary to try to provide the hot water discharge hole (5) at a high place. On the other hand, it is not necessary to try to provide the cold water inlet 9 too low by the cold water extension pipe 23. As a result, the cold water inlet 9 and the hot water outlet 5 can be installed at convenient locations for work. In some cases, it may be convenient to carry out piping work by installing it in one place.

The configuration shown and described above is merely a preferred embodiment based on the technical idea of the present invention. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
