Description

ELECTRIC WATER PUMP [0001]

The present invention relates to an electric water pump, and more particularly, to an electric water pump that can be assembled without forming a bolt by forming a screw thread on a cover of an electric water pump.

Japanese Patent Application No. 10-1296393 discloses a conventional electric water pump, and FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the electric water pump disclosed in the above-mentioned conventional patent.

In the case of the conventional water pump shown in Fig. 1, the cover 3 is bolted to the lower portion of the case body 1. As shown in Fig. In this case, since the conventional water pump uses the bolts 5 for coupling the cover 3 with the case body 1, there is a problem that the number of parts increases and the weight and volume of the water pump increase.

The present invention is intended to solve the above problems. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric water pump which can be assembled without using a bolt by forming a thread on a cover.

An electric water pump according to the present invention is a motor-driven water pump including a housing, an impeller, a rotor, a stator, a shaft, and a can case, wherein the housing includes a case and a cover. The case envelops the impeller, the rotor, the stator, the always shaft, and the can case. The cover is screwed to one side of the case to cover the case.

In the electric water pump described above, it is preferable that the case includes a case body and a case lid. The case body is screwed to the cover. The case cover is bolted to the case body to wrap the impeller.

In the electric water pump, the stator is mounted inside the can case so as not to touch water, and the shaft is fixedly coupled to the can case so as to protrude to the outside of the can case. Preferably, the impeller is rotatably mounted on one side of the shaft projected out of the can case, and the rotor is located outside the can case and integrally formed with the impeller.

In the electric water pump described above, it is preferable that the case body is integral with the can case.

According to the present invention, by forming the thread on the cover, it is possible to assemble without using a bolt, thereby facilitating cost reduction and assembly due to reduction in the number of parts, and improving the productivity improvement.

In addition, according to the present invention, the weight and volume of the water pump are reduced, and the efficiency of mounting the water pump on the vehicle can be increased.

1 is a cross-sectional view of a conventional electric water pump,
2 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of an electric water pump according to the present invention.

An electric water pump according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The electric water pump according to the present invention includes a housing 110, a can 120, a stator 130, a shaft 140, an impeller 150, and a rotor 160.

The housing 110 houses a can 120, a stator 130, a shaft 140, an impeller 150, and a rotor 160 therein. To this end, the housing 110 includes a case 111 and a cover 117. [

The case 111 includes a can body 120 accommodated in the housing 110, a stator 130, a shaft 140, an impeller 150, and a case body 113 And a case cover 115. The upper portion of the case body 113 is bolted to the case cover 115 so as to be detachable, and the lower portion of the case body 113 is connected to the cover 117 in a detachable manner. In this case, a bolt tab 114 is formed on the upper portion of the case body 113 so that the bolt 119 can be inserted therein, and a thread is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the lower portion. The case cover 115 is coupled to the upper portion of the case body 113 by bolts 119 to cover the impeller 150. At this time, the bolt 119 is inserted into the bolt hole 116 of the case cover 115 and the bolt tab 114 of the case body 113 to thereby attach the case cover 115 to the upper portion of the case body 113.

The cover 117 is screwed to the lower portion of the case body 113. At this time, the inner circumferential surface of the cover 117 is formed to cooperate with the threads formed on the outer circumferential surface of the case body 111 to cover the case 111.

In the case of the conventional water pump shown in Fig. 1, the cover 3 is bolted to the lower portion of the case body 1 as described above. In this case, since the bolts 8 are used to engage the cover 3 with the case body 1, the number of parts increases and the weight and volume of the water pump increase.

On the other hand, in the case of this embodiment, threads are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the case body 113 and the inner circumferential surface of the cover 117 to be screwed. Since the assembly can be performed without using the bolts 119 during assembly, the number of parts used can be reduced, thereby reducing the weight and volume of the water pump as well as reducing the weight of the water pump.

The can case 120 is integrally formed with the case body 113 and is housed in the housing 110. The stator 130 is mounted inside the can case 120 so that water does not touch it. The shaft 140 is fixedly coupled to the upper portion of the can case 120 so as to protrude outside the can case 120. The impeller 150 is rotatably mounted on a shaft 140 protruding outside the can case 120. The rotor 160 is located outside the can case 120 and is formed integrally with the impeller 150.
