Abstract
A display panel packaging assembly according to the present invention includes a tray having a bottom surface having an area larger than an area of the panel and a receiving space defined by a side wall defining a periphery of the bottom surface, And a panel holding film having an adhesive surface for holding the panel and a supporting surface extending to both sides of the adhesive surface so as to keep the panel spaced from the side wall.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE
2. Description of the Related Art Various flat panel display devices have been widely used not only for home-use display devices such as TVs and monitors, but also for portable display devices such as notebook computers, cell phones, and PMPs.
Currently produced or developed flat panel display devices are liquid crystal display (LCD), electro luminescent display (LED), field emission display (FED), plasma display panel (PDP), and organic light emitting display (OLED).
In recent years, in order to improve the portability of IT devices and to realize various display forms, studies are being made on a flexible flat panel display device which can be bent or curled in a curved shape or rolled or stored.
The panels constituting the flat panel display device are transported or packaged using trays. Generally, grooves corresponding to the shapes of the panels are formed on the trays to support the panels.
However, in the case where the panel includes a brittle substrate such as a glass substrate, the side surface of the panel collides with the side surface of the groove formed in the tray, generating dust particles, abrading the surface of the tray, or damaging the panel.
Further, when the panel includes the upper panel and the lower panel, the side surface of the panel collides with the side surface of the groove formed in the tray, and the sealing formed between the upper panel and the lower panel may be broken.
Also, the flexible flexible panel may be torn due to collision with the side surface of the groove formed in the tray during the transportation by the tray, or the seal on the outer side may be broken.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a display panel packaging assembly which prevents one side of a tray from contacting a side of a panel, and fixes the panel to a tray, which is one of the main causes of tray and panel breakage.
The technical objects of the present invention are not limited to the technical matters mentioned above, and other technical subjects not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the following description.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a display panel packaging assembly including a bottom panel having an area larger than an area of the panel, and a side wall defining a periphery of the bottom panel, A tray having a receiving space defined therein, and a supporting surface accommodated in the receiving space, the supporting surface extending to both sides of the adhesive surface so as to keep the panel spaced from the side wall, And a panel cover film.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a display panel packaging assembly including: an adhesive surface for adhering and supporting a panel; and a support surface extending from both sides of the adhesive surface to protrude outward of the panel And a tray having a panel fixing film, a mounting plate on which the panel and the panel protecting film are mounted, and a film fixing boss protruding from the mounting plate to correspond to the position of the supporting surface and passing through the supporting surface.
The details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and drawings.
The embodiments of the present invention have at least the following effects.
That is, it is possible to prevent the edge of the panel from contacting with the tray, to prevent damage to the panel and the tray, and to prevent the panel from being defective during transportation.
In addition, since the conventional tray can be used as it is without having to develop a new tray separately, the cost and time required for tray development and testing can be saved.
The effects according to the present invention are not limited by the contents exemplified above, and more various effects are included in the specification.
