It is necessary to facilitate the work in the field joint of the pipe gus part and the gus part of the pipe in the field installation of the pipeline for transporting resources such as gas and crude oil, securing the structural performance, and securing the long-term hermeticity. Conventional pipe joining methods include welding and mechanical joining methods.
When pipelines for transporting resources such as gas and crude oil are installed in the field, mostly welding or mechanical methods are used. In case of pipe welding, it is not easy to work according to the conditions such as weather and topography. In addition, the welding at the bottom of the pipe is in the above position, and the welding efficiency is low and the possibility of failure is very high. In addition, in the case of welded joint, it takes a lot of time to perform the welding work, and there is a high possibility that a defect of the connecting part is likely to occur depending on the skill of the welder and the work environment.
In the case of pipe connection by a mechanical connector, it takes a relatively long time to connect the pipes. However, it is necessary to make precise fabrication in order to ensure hermeticity, and it is difficult to secure airtightness and watertightness for decades .
