Description

Attaching device for attaching the rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll {THE ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR ATTACHING RUBBING CLOTH TO THE RUBBING ROLL}

The present invention relates to an attachment device for attaching a rubbing cloth to a rubbing roll. More specifically, in an attachment device for attaching a rubbing cloth to a rubbing roll, the rubbing cloth is tensioned without damaging the rubbing cloth so that both ends of the rubbing cloth are rubbed with a minimum tolerance. Attachment device for attaching cloth to rubbing roll.

In general, the rubbing device is a liquid crystal display device used in the manufacturing process. Typically, the rubbing device includes a rubbing roll on which both ends are rotatably supported above a plate on which a glass substrate is placed and fixed, and a rubbing cloth is wound on the surface of the rubbing roll by a double-sided tape. As the rubbing roll rotates, the rubbing cloth contacts the surface of the alignment layer of the glass substrate, thereby rubbing the surface of the glass substrate in a predetermined direction to form an alignment groove, and orienting the liquid crystal material in the direction in which the alignment groove is formed.

Therefore, the rubbing device is an essential device for the alignment film forming process for the alignment of the liquid crystal molecules. The rubbing device for the conventional rubbing was used as the rubbing cloth is in close contact with the rubbing roll attached to the double-sided tape on the roll. However, even if the rubbing cloth used in the conventional rubbing device is cut or worn in a smaller or larger size than the rubbing roll, or cut after wearing to correspond to the size of the rubbing roll, rubbing according to the storage environment during the rubbing cloth storage process before attaching to the rubbing roll There is a problem that the deformation of the length of the cloth appears. This is because the characteristics of the material of the rubbing cloth changes the total length of the rubbing cloth by shrinking or expanding it according to environmental factors. This problem leads to the problem of the rubbing device as follows. First, when the total length of the deformed rubbing cloth is longer than the length of the circumference of the rubbing roll, an overlapping portion where both ends overlap in a process where the end of the rubbing cloth abuts occurs. Second, when the total length of the deformed rubbing cloth is shorter than the length of the circumference of the rubbing roll, a gap occurs between one end and the other end in the process of contacting the end of the rubbing cloth. This problem has a problem of generating a rubbing mura in which a line-shaped line is generated in the alignment film forming process.

When the rubbing mura is confirmed immediately after the alignment film forming process in the manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device, it is possible to remove the defective rubbing cloth that is incorrectly attached to the rubbing roll of the rubbing device, and to reuse the roll from which the rubbing device of the rubbing device is removed. There is a problem in that a washing process for cleaning, an attachment process for attaching a new rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll, etc. are further added. In addition, if there are minute overlapping parts or minute tolerances that are difficult to check after the alignment film forming process, it may be confirmed as defective in the finished product after the whole process is completed. There is a problem that the material cost and the process cost are several times more.

Accordingly, in the related art, in order to prevent the overlapping part, which is one of the causes of the problem in advance, a method of cutting the rubbing cloth around the periphery and using the rubbing device immediately after cutting tried to overcome the problem. However, due to the continuous process and the large-scale rubbing process, it is difficult to cut each time the use of the rubbing cloth on a timely basis, and it is not easy to precisely cut the length of the rubbing cloth to increase its length as much as the fine length. There is an additional problem by damaging the rubbing cloth. In addition, discarding all the rubbing cloths of which the length is changed and cutting the new rubbing cloth has a problem in that a rubbing cloth with a replacement time is wasted in large quantities, thereby significantly lowering the economics.

An object of the present invention is to solve such a conventional problem, rubbing a rubbing cloth that is cut and worn less than the circumference of the rubbing roll or a rubbing cloth to easily apply a rubbing cloth having a deformation according to environmental factors to the rubbing device. An attachment device for attaching to a roll is provided.

In addition, it is an object of the present invention to provide a device for attaching a rubbing cloth to a rubbing roll, which minimizes a tolerance of a portion where both ends of the rubbing cloth abuts, thereby reducing a defective rate of the liquid crystal display device.

More specifically, an object of the present invention is to provide a device for pre-selecting and attaching a rubbing cloth, which is smaller than the length around the rubbing roll, to which a tolerance is generated, to the rubbing roll.

In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide an attachment device for attaching a rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll while minimizing rubbing cloth while attaching the rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll.

According to the present invention, in the attachment device for attaching the rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll, a rubbing support composed of a stage for supporting the rubbing cloth, a rubbing roll for fixing the end of the rubbing cloth on the rubbing support, the rubbing support and A support plate spaced apart and supporting the lower portion of the rubbing cloth together with the rubbing support, a size corresponding to the supporting plate, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to the upper portion of the rubbing cloth by applying an adhesive, the rubbing roll with the support plate and the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate And a tensioning unit that stretches and extends an end of the rubbing cloth, and a rotating device which rotates the rubbing roll over the rubbing cloth and moves in the tensioning direction to wind the rubbing cloth.

The tension unit may further include a control unit which divides the tensile strength of the rubbing cloth by the circumference of the rubbing roll and multiplies by 100 to control the distance between the rubbing support and the calculated value. The rubbing support may correspond to an area of 80 to 95% of the size of the rubbing cloth, and the support plate may correspond to an area of 5 to 20% of the size of the rubbing cloth. More specifically, the pressure-sensitive adhesive of the support plate is characterized in that the adhesive force of 7.0 kgf / mm 2 or more.

Subsequently, when the rotary device is positioned between the rubbing support and the supporting plate, the adhesive plate is removed, and after the adhesive plate is removed, the rubbing cloth is wound around the roll.

According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for effectively attaching a rubbing cloth cut into smaller than the circumference of the rubbing roll or a rubbing cloth having a deformation according to environmental factors.

The present invention also provides an apparatus for attaching a rubbing roll to a roll which minimizes the tolerance of a portion where both ends of the rubbing cloth abuts, thereby significantly reducing the defective rate of the liquid crystal display device.

More specifically, the present invention provides an apparatus for attaching a rubbing cloth to a roll by using a rubbing cloth that has been wasted by pre-selecting and using a rubbing cloth smaller than the length around the rubbing roll, causing a tolerance generation.

The present invention also provides an attachment device for attaching a rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll while overcoming additional defects by minimizing rubbing cloth damage while attaching the rubbing cloth to the rubbing roll.

The attachment device for attaching the present invention rubbing cloth 90 to the rubbing roll 50 as shown in the drawings is a rubbing support 10, a rubbing roll 50, the tension portion 40, the rotating device 70, It comprises a control unit 80 and the tolerance checking device 100.

The rubbing support 10 was configured as a stage for supporting the rubbing cloth 90, and was provided to be spaced apart from the supporting plate 20 through the control unit 80. In addition, the rubbing support 10 corresponds to an area of 80 to 95% of the rubbing cloth 90 while fixing the rubbing cloth 90 by placing the rubbing cloth 90 between the rubbing rolls 50 as shown in FIG. 1. Thereby serving to support the rubbing cloth 90 from below.

More preferably, the size of the rubbing support 10 corresponds to 85 to 90% of the size of the rubbing cloth 90. When less than 80%, relative to less than 80% of the rubbing cloth (90), because less than 80% of the rubbing cloth (90) is wound on the rubbing roll (50), relatively more than 20% After the rubbing cloth 90 is removed from the adhesive plate 30 of the tension part 40, the unrolled tensioned rubbing cloth 90 remaining while the rubbing roll 50 is wound is intended to shrink to its original state. Due to its nature, there is a problem of causing tolerances.

In addition, when exceeding 95%, since the 95% or more of the rubbing cloth (90) over the rubbing support (10) corresponding to more than 95% of the rubbing cloth (90) is wound on the rubbing roll (50), the relative tension Since the area of the rubbing cloth 90 which can be fixed by the part 40 is less than 5%, increase the adhesive force of the adhesive 32 which fixes the rubbing cloth 90, or further rubbing cloth in the tension part 40. There is a problem that a force for fixing 90 is required. However, if the adhesive force of the adhesive 32 is increased, as shown in FIG. 4, when the adhesive plate 30 is removed, a problem arises that the rubbing cloth 90 is additionally tensioned due to the adhesive 32 having high adhesive force. . In addition, if a force for fixing the rubbing cloth 90 in the tension part 40 is applied, the surface contacting the support plate 20, which is the surface used when the rubbing cloth 90 rubs, is damaged and additional mura occurs. There is a problem.

The rubbing roll 50 is used that the adhesive tape 54 is wound on the roll (52). In addition, the rubbing roll 50 fixes one end of the rubbing cloth 90 on the rubbing support 10 together with the rubbing support 10. Preferably, the rubbing roll 50 is effective to fix the most end of the rubbing cloth (90). This is because when the end of the rubbing roll 50 is fixed, the entire portion of the rubbing cloth 90 can be effectively stretched through the tension portion 40 to minimize the damage of the rubbing cloth 54.

The tension portion 40 includes an adhesive plate 30 and a support plate 20, and the support plate 20 is provided to be spaced apart from the rubbing support 10, and the support plate 20 is a rubbing cloth 90. ) Support the lower part together with the rubbing support 10. Subsequently, the support plate 20 corresponds to an area of 5 to 20% of the size of the rubbing cloth 90. More preferably, the size of the support plate 20 is 15 to 15% of the size of the rubbing cloth 90 is effective. If less than 5%, the area of the rubbing cloth 90 that can be fixed in the tension portion 40 is reduced, so as to relatively increase the adhesive force of the adhesive 32 for fixing the rubbing cloth 90, or the tension portion 40 There is a problem that a force for fixing the additional rubbing cloth (90) is required. If the adhesive force of the adhesive 32 is increased, as shown in FIG. 4, when the adhesive plate 30 is removed, the rubbing cloth 90 is additionally tensioned due to the adhesive 32 having high adhesive force, so that the ends overlap. Overlap problem occurs. In addition, if a force for fixing the rubbing cloth 90 in the tension part 40 is applied, the surface contacting the support plate 20, which is the surface used when the rubbing cloth 90 rubs, is damaged and additional mura occurs. There is a problem. In addition, if it is more than 20%, since less than 80% of the rubbing cloth 90 is wound on the rubbing roll 50 on the rubbing support 10, after the adhesive plate 30 of the tension portion 40 is removed, Because of the property of the rubbing cloth 90 to shrink back to its original state, the tensile effect is significantly reduced, there is a problem that the tolerance occurs.

In addition, the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate 30 corresponds to the size of the support plate 20 and the pressure-sensitive adhesive 32 is applied and adhered to the upper portion of the rubbing cloth 90. Subsequently, the tension portion 40 extends by grabbing the end of the rubbing cloth 90 opposite the portion where the rubbing cloth 90 is fixed to one end by the rubbing roll 50. The distance between the tension portion 40 and the rubbing support 10 is divided by the pre-measured tensile strength of the rubbing cloth 90 by the circumference of the rubbing roll 50 and multiplied by 100 to calculate the control portion 80. Control). At this time, the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate 30 of the tension portion 40 is coated with the adhesive 32, and the rubbing cloth 90 is bonded to the upper surface of the rubbing cloth 90, which is a surface wound on the adhesive tape 54. The pressure-sensitive adhesive 32 is used that the adhesive force is more than 7.0kgf / mm 2 , when the adhesive force is less than 7.0kgf / mm 2 , the tension portion 40 is insufficient to tension the rubbing cloth 90, When the tension part 40 tensions the rubbing cloth 90, the rubbing cloth 90 is not fixed between the adhesive plate 30 and the support plate 20 of the tension part 40, thus making it difficult to implement the present invention. In addition, in the present invention, the support plate 20 corresponding to the adhesive plate 30 uses the minimum friction force of the rubbing cloth 90 and the support plate 20 when the rubbing cloth 90 is tensioned. Therefore, since the pressure to hold the rubbing cloth 90 to the support plate 20 and the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate 30 is minimized, it is generally possible to minimize the damage of the rubbing cloth 90 generated when the rubbing cloth 90 is tensioned. Therefore, as a characteristic of the tension portion 40, by preventing the rubbing cloth 90 damage that may occur when the rubbing cloth 90 is tensioned in advance, it is possible to significantly minimize the occurrence of additional mura.

The rotating device 70 is the rotating device 70 as shown in Figure 3 is the rubbing roll (50) is rotated over the tensioned rubbing cloth (90) and moving in the direction of the tension portion 40, the rubbing cloth (90) Wind At this time, when the rotating device 70 is close to the portion where the support plate 20 and the rubbing support 10 are separated, as shown in Figure 4, due to the operation of the control unit 80, the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate 30 is separated , The support plate 20 is in close contact with the rubbing support 10. Thereafter, the rubbing roll 50 is rotated over the surface in which the support plate 20 and the rubbing support 10 are in close contact, and both ends of the rubbing cloth 90 are engaged with and attached to the rubbing roll 50.

When the tolerance checking device 100 is attached to both ends of the rubbing cloth 90 is attached, as shown in Figure 5, by using the tolerance checking device 100, it is made of a device for checking the portion where the tolerance occurs.

The operation of the first embodiment of the attachment device for attaching the above-described rubbing cloth 90 to the rubbing roll 50 will now be described. The operation of the first embodiment consists of an input step (S10), a fixing step (S20), a tensioning step (S30), an attaching step (S40), a tolerance checking step (S50).

First, the width and length of the wearing rubbing cloth 90 is measured through a measuring device for measuring the size of the wearing rubbing cloth 90. Next, the control unit 80 inputs the size value of the rubbing cloth 90 measured in the input step S10. The controller 80 determines the tensile strength which is a force for tensioning the rubbing cloth 90 by calculating the input value with the circumference of the rubbing roll 50 input in advance. In detail, the controller 80 determines the tensile strength by dividing the size of the input rubbing cloth 90 by the circumference of the rubbing roll 50 and multiplying by 100 to determine the tensile strength. ).

Meanwhile, in the present embodiment, the size of the rubbing cloth 90 is divided by the circumference of the rubbing roll 50 and multiplied by 100 to determine the tensile strength, but the tensile strength calculation method may vary according to the deformation of the rubbing cloth. Therefore, it will be possible to use the average value of the tensile strength of the rubbing cloth 90 obtained through several experiments.

Next, after the input step (S10), in the fixing step (S20) to support the rubbing cloth (90) with a rubbing support (10), one end is fixed with a rubbing roll (50) as shown in Figure 1 and one end of the opposite side It is fixed by the tension portion (40). At this time, the rubbing roll 50 and the tension portion 40 in the fixing step (S20) is to contact and fix both ends of the rubbing cloth (90) in order to effectively tension the entire surface of the rubbing cloth (90) do.

After the fixing step (S20), in the tensioning step (S30), as shown in Figure 2, the control unit 80 controls the tensioning unit 40, the tensioning unit 40 is operated so that the rubbing support 10 and the tensioning unit 40 is Spaced apart. At this time, the tension portion 40 tensions the rubbing cloth 90 by using the frictional force between the support plate 20 and the lower surface of the rubbing cloth 90 and the adhesive force 32 of the pressure-sensitive adhesive 32 applied to the pressure-sensitive adhesive plate 30. do.

Next, in the attaching step (S40), the tension unit 40 stops the operation and the rotary device 70 operates to wind and attach the rubbing cloth 90 on the rubbing support 10. In the attaching step (S40) as shown in Figure 3, the tension portion 40 is applied to the end by applying a minimum force using the adhesive plate 30 and the support plate 20 and at the same time as the rotating device 70 as shown in FIG. When the rubbing support 10 and the support plate 20 are positioned close to each other, the adhesive plate 30 is removed as shown in FIG. 4, and the support plate 20 moves toward the rubbing support 10. The rubbing cloth 90 on the unsupported support plate 20 is wound around the support plate 20 and attached to the rubbing roll 50.

Next, the adhesion check step (S50) of confirming the product 110 is made by attaching the rubbing cloth (90) to the rubbing roll (50) through the tolerance check device (100) where the tolerance occurs as shown in FIG. Rough

Tolerance check step is to prevent the rubbing roll 50 wound around the defective rubbing cloth (90) is not put into the rubbing process, to prevent fine overlap or tolerance in advance to prevent mura difficult visibility.

On the other hand, Figure 5 is shown as a camera device as a device for confirming the portion 110 occurs the tolerance, it will be possible to use any device that can confirm the tolerance.

The product that has passed the tolerance check step (S50) is judged whether there is a defect, and thus the non-defective product is put into the rubbing process and used in the rubbing process.
