도 1은 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 모범적인 진단 소자의 개략적인 대표도이고;
도 2는 본 발명의 다른 측면에 따른 모범적인 진단 장치의 개략적인 대표도이며;
도 3은 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 하나 이상의 홀딩 포트를 가지는 다른 모범적인 진단 장치의 개략적인 대표도이고;
도 4는 홀딩 포트들이 연속하여 연결된 다른 모범적인 진단 장치의 개략적인 대표도이며;
도 5는 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 진단용 겔의 진단 단부(diagnostic end)에 분석물의 부착을 나타내는 개략적인 대표도이고;
도 6은 본 발명의 다른 측면에 따른 분석물을 붙잡는 두 개의 진단 단부들을 나타내는 개략적인 대표도이며;
도 7은 진단 소자의 제작 방법에 대한 모범적인 단계들의 순서도(flowchart representation)이고;

Claims (21)
- 진단 소자(10)의 제조 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은
하나 이상의 홀딩 포트(holding port)[14], 그리고 상기 홀딩 포트의 어느 한쪽 상에 흡입로(16) 및 배출로(18)를 포함하는 성형된 채널(shaped channel)[12]을 제공하는 단계(50);
상기 성형된 채널의 흡입로 내로 진단용 겔(diagnostic gel)[20]을 유입시키는 단계(52); 및
하나 이상의 홀딩 포트 내에 진단용 겔을 캡슐화하여(54) 진단 소자(10)를 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
제 1 리세스(22) 및 제 2 리세스(24)에서 진단 소자를 절단하는 단계(56)를 더 포함하며, 여기서 진단 소자는 제 1 리세스와 제 2 리세스 사이에 위치하고, 제 1 리세스는 상기 흡입로 상에 위치하며, 제 2 리세스는 상기 배출로 상에 위치하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 제 1 리세스와 제 2 리세스 사이에 제 2 홀딩 포트를 부착하는 단계를 더 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
제 1 리세스에서 진단 소자를 절단시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
제 2 리세스에서 진단 소자를 절단시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 성형된 채널이 복수의 홀딩 포트들을 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
성형된 채널을 제공하는 단계가 열가소성 물질을 사출 성형(injection molding)하는 단계를 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 7항에 있어서,
상기 물질이 사이클릭 올레핀-기반 중합체인 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
성형된 채널을 제공하는 단계가:
패턴화된 채널(patterned channel)들을 포함하는 실리콘 웨이퍼를 제공하는 단계(58);
상기 실리콘 웨이퍼 상에 경화성 물질을 부어(60) 경화성 채널을 형성하는 단계;
상기 경화성 물질을 경화시켜(62) 경화된 물질을 형성하는 단계;
상기 경화된 물질을 떼어내어(64) 패턴화된 물질을 제공하는 단계; 및
하나 이상의 표면에 상기 패턴화된 물질을 밀봉시켜(72) 밀봉된 패턴화된 물질을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 9항에 있어서,
상기 경화성 물질이 PDMS인 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
샘플화된(sampled) 진단 소자를 형성하도록 진단 소자를 통해서 샘플을 유입시키는 단계(78)를 더 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 11항에 있어서,
상기 샘플화된 진단 소자로부터 속성(attribute)들을 검출하도록 검출(80) 수단을 제공하는 단계를 더 포함하는 제조 방법. - 제 1항에 있어서,
진공에 의해서 캡슐화가 시행되는 제조 방법. - 제 1항 내지 제 13항 중 어느 한 항의 방법에 의해 만들어지는 진단 장치.
- 진단 소자의 사용 방법에 있어서,
상기 진단 소자가 흡입로, 진단용 겔을 캡슐화하는 홀딩 포트, 및 배출로를 포함하고,
상기 방법이:
진단용 겔을 통하여 샘플을 흐르게 하여 분석물 진단용 겔을 제공하는 단계;
상기 분석물 진단용 겔을 분석하는 단계를 포함하는 사용 방법. - 제 15항에 있어서,
상기 진단 소자가 흡입로 상에 위치된 제 1 리세스를 더 포함하는 사용 방법. - 제 16항에 있어서,
상기 진단 소자가 배출로 상에 제 2 리세스를 더 포함하는 사용 방법. - 제 17항에 있어서,
제 1 리세스에서 진단 소자를 절단하는 단계를 더 포함하는 사용 방법. - 제 17항에 있어서,
제 1 리세스 및 제 2 리세스에서 진단 소자를 절단하는 단계를 더 포함하는 사용 방법. - 제 15항에 있어서,
상기 진단 소자가 사이클릭 올레핀 공중합체로 만들어지는 사용 방법. - 제 15항 내지 제 20항 중 어느 한 항의 방법을 사용하는 진단 장치.
