Description

Anti-rattle assembly in Motor Driven Power Steering

The present invention relates to an electric steering apparatus, and more particularly to an anti-rattle mechanism with a reduced number of parts.

In general, MDPS (Motor Driven Power Steering), which is an electric steering device, is a method of assisting steering power by motor power without using hydraulic pressure.

To this end, the MDPS is provided with a motor that is ECU-controlled to generate power, a worm shaft that is rotated through the motor, and a worm wheel that is engaged with the worm wheel, thereby transferring the rotational force of the worm wheel to the gearbox. It transmits and assists steering power.

As described above, MDPS has no choice but to generate rattle noise, which is a metallic noise caused by interdental gaps caused by a chimamo and other factors, by using an interlocking worm shaft and a worm wheel.

The anti-rattle mechanism prevents rattle noise by pressing the worm shaft toward the worm wheel, and is usually implemented by using an elastic force through an anti-rattle spring.

To this end, in the above manner, the plug member is provided to support the anti-rattle spring pressed against the worm shaft side, and a bearing cover is provided so that foreign matter or impact does not flow into the bearing supporting the worm shaft end.

The anti-rattle mechanism, which is installed in a narrow space in the housing that accommodates the worm shaft and the worm wheel, has an advantage when the quantity of parts constituting the anti-rattle mechanism is smaller when considering assembly and productivity.

However, in the structure in which the anti-rattle spring is applied as described above, the anti-rattle spring must be elastically supported by the plug member, and the foreign material or impact should be blocked by the bearing cover, so that separate assembly processes are required, and the resulting sample Excessive manufacturing time and excessive management parts contribute to lowering MDPS cost competitiveness.

Accordingly, the present invention has been invented in view of the above, and by providing a dual function to the plug portion forming the exterior, simultaneously implementing two functions in one process, reducing the assembly process, shortening the product manufacturing time and reducing the management parts. It is an object of the present invention to provide an anti-rattle mechanism of an electric steering apparatus that can secure not only quality but also cost competitiveness.

The present invention for achieving the above object, a state in which the anti-rattle mechanism of the electric steering apparatus is fixed on one side of the upper side of the motor housing, the other side of the opening of the bearing hole drilled in the side portion of the motor housing The end is characterized in that it comprises a plug cover that is fitted into the lower portion of the bearing hole fixed.

The plug cover is an anti-elastic load applied to the fixed end fixed to the outer portion of the motor housing by the fixing member and the pressing member is inserted into the bearing hole of the inner boss of the motor housing to press the bearing for supporting the end of the worm shaft A spring pressing end integrally connected to the fixed end to support the rattle spring, a cover integrally connected to the spring pressing end to cover the bearing hole side, and an end portion of the cover to be fixed to the lower portion of the bearing hole It consists of an extended insertion end.

The insertion end is fitted to the fitting projection protruding upward to have a groove shape using a motor housing in the lower portion of the bearing hole.

According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the assembly process by implementing two functions in one assembly process by using the plug portion having a dual function, it is integrated into one component to shorten the time to manufacture the product and the quantity of management parts This not only secures cost competitiveness but also improves the quality of parts.
